  1. That's what I'm thinking. Just hard to see a team willing to trade for him. Probably best chance is if he's a secondary piece along with Braun, Nelson, Guerra, etc. Evan if teams buy his splits vs LHP, just not a big market for avg 2B. Aaron Hill comp isn't really valid, because he can play more than one position. Scooter is strictly 2B, and below avg defense there. But I agree with others, if they can move him for a Lind type deal, that would be great.
  2. Suter is a soft tosser, but so is Davies. He has worked his way to next starter up status if anyone is hurt, traded, or (in the the case of Garza) decides to go home early again.
  3. Yes, baseball is funny that way. Wouldn't surprise me if JJ is back one day. Also, refreshing to see a player who sincerely loved Milwaukee, and loved being a Brewer. Happy trails Jeremy, and good luck in September!
  4. Someone may want to send a memo to broadcast crew. Half pronouncing Arcia properly, half not. Guessing Auggie will call him Akea.
  5. Please refer to the countless other posts that have addressed this topic. A Lucroy extension would not be smart, he's just about to leave his prime. And the Dean Taylor comment must be a joke, right? Plus little details like Lucroy saying publicly he had no interest in signing extension.
  6. Not true. Demuth and Davis had good seasons this year. Cooper last year. And plenty of others over the years. Again, yes, power numbers will be down. But plenty of guys had good seasons in the past. Cooper is the only righty in the bunch though. That park sure seems murderous on right-handed hitters. Davis is switch, but therefore 70% left-handed. It seems like it can be done, but pretty rare. But Ray is LH. Which is my point, BC is no hitters paradise but no excuse for Ray hitting .500ish OPS. Only 100 ABs though

  8. I don't blame him. Somehow 90% of this board and half the baseball world overall still doesn't understand this concept. I would agree. Except that, you know, it's his job.
  9. Personal preference, I need to see some success before I consider him a top 5 prospect- especially after the trades. Yes, he bypassed three levels, but that's a bit misleading. If he's supposed to be the top college bat coming out, he better be beyond rookie ball. So the only question was WI or BC. Also, growing tired of the BC excuse. Yes, it's a park that zaps all power. But it's not impossible to hit and take a walk. Guys like Demuth have been able to do it.
  10. I realize this exercise is for fun, but it goes to show we just don't know. That's ok, neither do the Brewers. That's why quality depth is so important!
  11. If Maldy hits .240/.250 I'll buy season tickets for you. **Saved for future reference He did hit better than that in 2012 Right. And Aramis Ramirez hit .300 in 2012. I will also bet you another season ticket he won't do that in 2017.

  13. 1) Orlando Arcia 2) Josh Hader 3) Lewis Brinson 4) Luis Ortiz 5) Phil Bickford 6) Isan Diaz 7) Marcos Diplan 8) Brandon Woodruff 9) Cody Ponce 10) Trent Clark 11) Lucas Erceg 12) Corey Ray 13) Brett Phillips 14) Freddy Peralta 15) Jacob Nottingham 16) Jorge Lopez 17) Gilbert Lara 18) Wei-Chung Wang 19) Joe Perrin 20) Jake Gatewood 21) Monte Harrison 22) Demi Orimoloye 23) Nathan Kirby 24) Tyrone Taylor 25) Joantgel Segovia Notable Exclusions: Medeiros, Devin Williams, Coulter, Roache AAAA guys who could have made the list in the past: Cooper, Wren, Reed, Susac, Orf, Rivera, Suter, Magnifico, Demuth Keeping my eye on: PTBNL, Other 2016 draftees, Supak, Aviles, Belonis, Stokes, Yomamoto, McDowell, Miguel Diaz, Griep, and many other in rookie/DSL ball.
  14. that's correct, we're discussing who might make it all the way through without being claimed by another team. So, assume Arcia is put on waivers---he gets claimed immediately by the Braves. garza on the other hand gets claimed by no one, and therefore has cleared waivers and can be traded to any team in the league. If a guy gets claimed, he can be: given to the claiming team, traded to the claiming team, or pulled back by the Brewers. Thanks! I scanned comments too quickly, thought the subject was "who should they expose to waivers." My bad.
  15. I could be dead wrong, but I thought it was customary for teams to put virtually everyone on waivers each year? We never hear about it really, because it's just procedural move.
  16. This is for the fans. Why not just add a couple bobble head nights instead?? No reason at all to rush Arcia.
  17. Or as my wife put it, "Why did they trade 3 really good guys for a bunch of rookies?!?!" Needless to say, she was even more bummed when I explained actually they're not even rookies yet. "Next year?" she asked hopefully. Nope.
  18. Please make it stop. Even if Gallo COULD legally be the ptbnl it makes no sense. If it's Gallo, he would have been player named, not ptbnl.
  19. I think Braun is a tough deadline guy to trade with that contract. That's better done in the off-season. But the others, yea, they definitely could be big chips.
  20. This is how I feel. PTBNL shouldn't be THAT important, but I'm hung up on that too. Fully admit, probably more than I should be.
