    Lucroy is having a bad year, why would anyone offer a couple of top shelf prospects for him? It's just that simple. Would some teams want a veteran catcher with a very favorable contract for three yrs? Sure. But trades at this time of year are made to win it all THIS year. And Lucroy doesn't exactly scream "He'll put a charge in the line-up."

    Keith Law doesnt like the Brewers prospects. There is a first To be fair, Brewers could have gotten more. But that could have meant the deal falls apart. Sometimes perfect is the enemy of great. This is probably an 8, I wouldn't jeapirdize that holding out for a 10.

    Good lord, all Haudricourt wants to know is whether Gomez has been cleared medically. He still doesn't get that was the excuse the Mets used for panicking and being cheap.

    I'm telling you, addition by subtraction. Make them take Broxton. Brewers save almost $3mm. Icing is low minors prospect similar to a Ponce or Diplan level.

    Patrick, Astros system is better/deeper than the Brewers, so those rankings are significant. Four guys with true, legit potential

    I don't hate it, but black is so overdone in the NBA. I would like to see the alternate use part of their new color scheme- the cream and blue. That would provide consistency, and look better too. I like the number on the chest. Maybe the state logo instead of main logo? Final suggestion, the logo (whichever they use) needs to be a little smaller or muted.

    It's not wheelers physical. Honestly, they have been talking for a couple weeks. Trade is announced and in 15 minutes Brewers font like his medicals? That makes zer sense. Zero.

    Two things. 1) who cares who will play where next yr, who will replace x, etc. It is a rerebuilding yr. Lots of moves to be made between now and 2017. 2) Really think Melvin should have insisted on a low minors guy thrown in to this deal. Not the Mets top 1 or 2 guys, but someone with high ceiling.

    Wheeler and a higher ceiling guy or two in low minors would have been more exciting. Pretty sure Mets were the only team that really wanted Gomez badly, so I think that hurt.

    I hear you, but we've talked about all the reasons for opposition. Now I hear common council won't vote until September? C'mon Barrett take some leadership and get this done in the next couple weeks. Either way, it will get done so let's save a month and get a shovel in the dirt.

    Why do people drive 68 mph through a 70 mph zone, yet also drive 68 through a 55 mph construction zone? Man I want to see someone pulled over and get a huge fine.

    Actually almost none of them are done. The only signs that exist for I-41 are the small ones along the road. The large overhanging signs haven't been changed, neither have any of the on ramps. So, any sign that states "41 North...this way" for example, are all stall the old signs. You're right though, having both is stupid. Makes it look as though 41 is "sort of" an interstate. (By the way Google maps shows it as I-41 at least.)

    Same here, but they should push for a vote quickly, almost daring some of these members to vote against it. This has actually flip-flopped now and there will be tremendous pressure by a lot of powerful people to get this done. State and local politicians, the unions, business groups, etc.

    No rush. If you haven't noticed, he's been slumping. Rivera had a great OPS when he was promoted, and has really struggled in AAA. Arcia is very talented, but he is not ready for MLB.

    Makes sense, but no, plenty of interstate highways are intrastate. I 4 in FL comes to mind.
