  1. This is the point Keith and other conspiracy theorists cant refute. If the fix was in, they would want the Cowboys, Packers, and others to win. They get massive national ratings when theyre contenders. People in LA barely care about the Rams, let alone the rest of the country.
  2. When Bledsoe wants to play hard on both ends he is a really good player. Hes been doing that for most of the season, and a big part of their success. More than anything though, its a team playing with confidence.
  3. Last time you went to the eye doctor? I see the ball popped out but his arm was under it, every time I watch it I never see the ball hit the ground.
  4. Am I crazy, that ball didnt hit the ground?!?!
  5. Time to find out if the defense is any different than the 2016 or 2017 version.
  6. PI on Adams, no flag, still caught it. Never thought he would be a beast like this.
  7. Im used to bad officiating in the NFL so I rarely complain, but this is so bad. Slow it down on repkay, clearly the ball is moving. Then the punt return holding call was awful. Meanwhile Ive seen at least 4 blatant holds that werent called.
  8. I think it could work, but no idea if it actually WOULD. It would be in an area with no other hotels, and could attract a fair amount of business travelers. MP does have quite a bit of industry nearby. It could even take spill-over from the Medical Center, office park area around the zoo interchange. There's a couple hotels over there, but if the MP hotel would be a Marriott brand for example, it may pull from that area.
  9. This is why the valley would have been the perfect site for Miller Park. But it was hard enough getting it approved, so I understand why they needed to make the proposal as easy as possible.
  10. You would get too many idiots investing in penny stocks. A portion of the population is too dumb to be trusted with any amount of money so the best way to keep them barely alive is giving them a monthly allowance to buy food at the end of the life. Brutal, but true. That's why 50% still goes into the general fund, as there will still be plenty of people who either are not responsible or unable to have enough for retirement. Also, if that's the concern they could limit what you can invest in- similar to 401k. I don't like that personally, but I would still rather have my own account and stick it into an S&P index fund or something.
  11. I whiffed on Ford, I thought he was done for the year. Iverson can bring some things to the table too, forgot about him. As for Happ, the Bucks comparison still fits- he is Giannis. Doesn't have to shoot 3s, just do damage in the paint. Obviously in a much different way.
  12. I watched off and on, surprised how mediocre King looks. (Trying to be positive, he actually looked horrible.) But in basketball, you can go a long way with 3 really good players and the Badgers have that at least. They really need one more guy to step up and be a solid contributor. Most of all, they are sunk in any game where Happ gets into foul trouble and has to sit. It was fun watching them though, almost like a mini-Bucks offensive set. Spread the court so Happ has room to work, and shooters knocking down 3s. Happ is a really tough one-on-one match-up, he has some moves in the post I haven't seen since the 70s I think.
  13. SS will be there, yes, but they will keep raising the age for the full benefit, play with the formula, etc. I think maybe the biggest change moving forward will be taxing SS income at lower and lower income levels. I really don't understand why they have never let us invest at least a portion of our SS on our own. A huge amount of people would be just fine paying a much lower tax to cover others, the rest we manage on our own. Even 50/50. Let the employer's share go the general fund, and then the employee can do whatever they want with their share as long as it goes into a qualified retirement plan like an IRA.
  14. Was he the same reporter that didn't vote for Counsell at all? Just curious if that cost Counsell the award, if that reporter didn't even vote for CC as 2nd or 3rd?
  15. You know you have to let the boss win right? If you really want to win though, mix in some ground pork (75% beef, 25% pork) and very fine crushed bacon (not much, dont overdo it.) You're welcome.
  16. You sir are a sucker. My plan is financially sound. My wife buys a lottery tickets. No, not every week on the measly $5MM or $200MM jackpots. Only once every couple years when it gets to a billion. Its simple math, she will win it eventually. Retirement WHOA SOLVVD.
  17. 1. Ben Hendrickson 2. Ben Hendrickson 3. Ben Hendrickson 4. Ben Hendrickson 5. Ben Hendrickson 6. Ben Hendrickson 7. Ben Hendrickson 8. Ben Hendrickson 9. Ben Hendrickson 10. Ben Hendrickson Thanks, Ben's Dad
  18. Taylor actually IS what many wanted Wren to be. A legitimate 4th OF prospect.
  19. So many good points being made on both sides, lost in all the snarkiness unfortunately. For those who want Woodruff, I still haven't seen anyone respond to the huge spikes in OPS the 2nd and 3rd time through the line-up. 3rd time through is one thing, but isn't the 2nd time through a pretty big red flag for someone you want in the rotation? Just asking, neither one is my son or anything so I don't need to be proven right or wrong. This may be a case where it is actually settled in Spring Training. And more than anything else, I think that comes down to ho has refined their off speed pitches. That said, does it really matter that much who is in the rotation opening day? If both are effective, they will both start plenty of games in 2019.
  20. I can shed some light on this. Technically, Peralta does NOT throw a cutter. He holds the four seem fastball differently to give that pitch some of the effect of a cutter. That's the pitch he throws low, and has a lot of movement. The traditional 4 seam fastball he throws high, and generally does not have a lot of movement. Although (and this is my eye test only, and comments from opposing coaches/ players) it does "seem" to rise, which is why he gets so many swing/miss on that pitch outside the zone. Anyhow, my guess is that's why Fangraphs doesn't differentiate between the two fastballs, because technically they are both 4 seam fastballs. To a hitter, they are very different though.

  22. Last two pages of this thread remind me of.... http://www.quickmeme.com/img/68/685433417ff0b63c24e8d5aa51c18145d49a4e0f5732015eb29ab05c8fbfd2ab.jpg
  23. Yea, but that's not what made him entertaining. It was the chemistry between them, and all the non-sports stuff they drifted off to that made it fun. Nobody tuned in to get an in-depth analysis of the Brewers bullpen strategy.
  24. Granted, Warriors were without Green, but the Bucks shot horribly from 3. If they shoot even their avg 3P%, it's an even bigger blow-out. I don't believe the Bucks > Warriors, but they last night. That's got to build confidence that they really believe they could hang with them in a series. Also, word of caution on Coach Bud. If you recall, everyone bought into Kidd and his system when he first arrived, same thing with Skiles. Now there are legit reasons why this situation is different, and not as likely to go south. Just pointing out that generally players buy into almost any new coach, especially as long as they're winning.
  25. Anyone know what happened to him? For those unaware, he did a "sports" segment every morning for 25 years on the Bob & Brian show (102.9) in Milwaukee. I put sports in parantheses because often the conversation would turn to other things. Anyhow, suddenly he wasn't on anymore. All Bob & Brian have said is "he quit." I heard Czaban made a comment that it wasn't about money, contract, etc. But I find that hard to believe, there was no "send off" after 25 years or anything, it just ended abruptly. Just curious if any other fans of the show have heard anything?
