    Things fell off pretty badly since the BTN started. I am not sure that is the cause but I am not sure it is just coincidence either. Oh yeah, we lost tonight.

    It is extremely depressing how far the coverage of Badgers hockey has fallen in the last 3 years. I used to watch the Badgers almost every weekend. I now feel kind of lucky they even cover the hockey team. Overtime WCHA tournament hockey and it isn't even on tv. Sorry that my vocabulary is so limited that I can't post my true feelings without being banned.

    Yes, it is. I think the realistic expectation is to be in the playoff race for most of the season but eventually probably miss by a couple games. If we get off to a good start and the Reds don't or the Reds have more key injuries then we are probably the favorites.

    Both things probably have something to do with at least 23 spots being filled on the 25 man roster and only 1-2 positions being obviously weak. Add in that our whipping boy reporter is gone and both positions along with our weakened minor league system have been talked about ad nauseam months ago and there really isn't much to discuss. It also seems many of the more stat minded posters have not been posting as much.

    Axford is unproven with a high walk rate. He could falter. If he does we have the people to pick him but our margin of error is so small we could already be sunk by the time we replace him. Saito has injury concerns.

    Maybe Kotsay could play 2B or SS also. Heck bring in Braun he played in the infield at one point.

    This is the book on Yuniesky Betancourt -- lazy mechanics. The pitcher hits a routine grounder to him and he throws high for an error. Weak. SS Yuniesky Betancourt has done nothing to calm fears in Brewer Nation with two sloppy errors today. Living down to reputation. This comes as a complete shock.

    I think the Brewers did change their offer after finding out about the diabetes.

    Maybe right now, but in a couple weeks or so? Perhaps something could be done the weekend of the 26th (which is right before Opening Day). Maybe, maybe not. March 26th is the state girls basketball championships. There are other Great Dane locations. Fitchburg, Hilldale and a new one on the eastside.

    I think we are a couple games short right now and think this is nothing more than a fluke injury. None of my friends or myself ever broke a rib playing basketball and we had a lot of hip checking into walls during our games.

    The Brewers record last year was much closer to their win differential than the Mariners in 2009.

    If Braun hits a double Hart or Weeks could easily score on that as well. I still don't understand why people ignore guys dancing around on 1B can also distract the hitter.

    You mean like giving up a walkoff home run to the team you lose the division to by 2 games? Football is obviously more random but baseball is random as well. It can easily swing 6 games either way. Saying a team under or over performed their talent can sometimes be subjective though. You see teams have a good year one year and completely fall off the next year with virtually the same team. Seattle did it and Arizona did it as well.

    Any really good stretch by either team would put them ahead. Look what our good start in 2008 did for us. It allowed us to hang on the rest of the season and get the wild card. The margin of error is already so small getting behind could hurt us. The best teams don't always make the playoffs. Teams can under or over perform their talent and do so every year. Seattle is a pretty recent example of that.
