  1. I would not like to give up Green. I think we need him in a couple years.
  2. Why does Gamel bat 2nd the in non-counsell RHP lineup but Hardy bats 2nd if Counsell is in and Gamel then hits 6th? Splits up the lefties. Splitting up lefties is more important than many other lineup considerations. I would prefer Gamel higher but Counsell batting leadoff with Fielder locked into the 4 hole trumps Gamel #2. I also dont like Hart 1 or 2, yes he has speed and is hot now, but his horrible decline in OBP over the past few years is too much to overlook Hart leads off against LHP. Not quite as pronounced as Hall, but he hits LHP better than RHP. Braun and Fielder should never get a day off when they are healthy, they under 26 years old, they dont need the rest. Braun hasn't been completely healthy all year. A day off now and then wouldn't hurt. Sitting Fielder once a month vs a LHP wouldn't hurt either. He is our worst hitter, besides Kendall, vs LHP. I won't suggest messing with Braun/Fielder Did you purposely flip them in your lineup?http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  3. How is the frisbee golf on TWG 10?
  4. Why make Hall the first option at second versus lhp? I think McGehee deserves to be in the lineup almost every day with Cousell playing 2b occasionally Hall hits LHP. Has for years. There is little to suggest he won't hit LHP going forward. There is little to suggest that McGeheee can keep hitting like he has. I am not fond of Hall, but I think not starting him against LHP somewhere would be a huge mistake. For reference McGehee hit .291/.360/.450/.810 vs LHP through the minors. Hall is .292/.374/.536/.910 from 2006-2008 vs LHP. In my opinion, Macha and Svuaem whould cut their losses and admit Hall just can't hit RHP instead of trying to fix him. Cameron would to me seem to be out of place as a leadoff hitter Cameron has smaller LHP/RHP splits than most of our other regulars. Against RHP, he is probably the best choice unless Gerut or Counsell are in the lineup. As you see I have Counsell leading off when he is in the lineup.
  5. Too Human - dud Fable 2 - loved it awesome Gears of War 2 - awesome again Star Wars the Force Unleashed - meh, not good, not bad, cool story Lord of the Rings : Conquest - sucked hard Halo Wars - ok, fun Fallout 3 - didn't even look at it, turned out to be the best of the group, still playing it
  6. It got fairly decent reviews. LINK I hear that the got the original cast members to do voice overs.
  7. Macha has been doing a pretty good job handling the pitching staff so far. However, I think he has done a pretty poor job handling the batting lineups and hitters. I used to say that moving guys up and down the lineup based on hot/cold streaks didn't bother me. I should have been clear I meant similar hitters, not guys like Kendall. I am changing my mind again, I don't like guys moved more than a spot in the oreder based on being hot/cold. The problem is that by the time you realize a guy is hot, he is starting to cool off and the opposite is true. For example, JJ has been hot the last few games yet still stuck in the bottom of the lineup. I don't have a problem with flipping Cameron and Hart in the 5/6 holes based on who is hot for example. Ignoring the fact that I like the pitcher batting 8th. LHP Hart RF Hardy SS Braun LF Fielder 1B Cameron CF Hall 2B Gamel 3B Kendall C Pitcher RHP Cameron CF Gamel 3B Braun LF Fielder 1B Hardy SS McGehee 2B Hart RF Kendall C Pitcher Counsell gets 3 starts a week against RHP. One for JJ at SS and 2 at 2B for McGehee. Counsell lineup Counsell 2B/SS Hardy SS/McGehee 2B Braun LF Fielder 1B Cameron CF Gamel 3B Hart RF Kendall C Pitcher McGehee starts at 2B against RHP when Counsell doesn't. Starts one game a week at 3B agaist LHP. One game a month at 1B against LHP. Gerut starts one game a week against RHP in CF and one every other week in RF. Catalanotto starts one game a month against RHP in LF and one game every other week in RF. Rivera does his usual pairing with Bush(although I would prefer he get the last game in every series.)
  8. As long as it comes out before baseball starts. I think you are right that it will come out around March. I think that is when the last one came out. Around the time I was getting bored of all the games that came out in the fall.
  9. If somebody else is going to produce better than Gamel, they should be starting.
  10. I could make it to a Friday game, maybe.
  11. I think the PA is going to make a big issue about Type A free agents not being able to sign very easily. I was thinking that they should protect all team's first round picks and take away picks starting with second round picks for signing Type A free agents. Compensation starts after the first round. Highest rated free agent gets the first sandwich pick 2nd rated free agent gets the 2nd pick ans so forth. Type B free agents net a pick after the first round of compensation picks. Type A's net a second pick each after the Type B compensation picks. Keep the limits on the number of picks that each team can sign. As bad as we got hosed with our compensation pick for CC, the Jays got it much worse.
  12. January of 2010 I believe. EBGames.com has it listed as 12/31/09. They are probably wrong. I personally still count spring as part of the fall videogame lineup since it is the baseball offseason.
  13. Gamel is as ready as he is going to be. Let him play full time.
  14. I was going to list which players would be better leading off against LHP, but I think it would be shorter to lost players who would be worse leadoff hitters against LHP. Pither Counsell Gerut Catalanato Kendall has very little platoon split. Most of our other right handed hitters have a fairly large platoon split which makes Kendall leading off even worse.
  15. Why the need to call it Yostian. It is an MLB manager thing. Save situation=closer. That's how managers manage. I am still surprised by how many people thought a closer would be used differently because we changed managers.
  16. Talk about shooting yourself in the foot, sort of.
  17. We have an extra catcher, and an extra 3B. Who is the extra 3B? I think our extra 3B ends up at 1B.
  18. I think the timing of the Linebrink and CC deals were such that we gave up players that were lower in the system or redundant even if they were top prospects for us. We didn't need them any sooner than the draft picks we would see in return. Now if we traded one of our top prospects, I think we would be giving up a guy we are going to need in the next 3 years and I don't think we can draft a guy nor did we this year, that will be ready in that time frame. The only exception is one of Salome/Lucroy.
  19. I don't have a problem with Hall in the 2 hole. I am not really enthusiastic about McGehee leading off with Hardy in the 7 hole though.
  20. November 2009 apparently. Link Edit: Nevermind, Spring 2010. Link
  21. I was just hoping to unload the Witrado contract. it is really hampering our JSOnline roster flexibility. Witrado seems to have all the tools, but just needs to put it all together. I think he needs a little more AAA seasoning to work on his mental approach. Not sure with where our club is at that we can afford to keep a guy like that around.
  22. I agree. I think we need all of our top prospects to cover FA losses of everyday players in the next 3 years. LaPorta was expendable because he was kind of redundant and played corner outfield spot, which can be filled pretty easily.
  23. I can't be the only one hoping somebody does some photoshopping to put a pair of Raybans on Miller Park.
