  1. Ben Sheets doesn't have to pitch in Arizona in a meaningful game where his lack of break on his curve ball won't hurt him. Plus, the Brewers probably won't have to look up at that high Arizona sky with a roof over their heads.
  2. Michael Vick used drugs in a school zone So now Mr. T wants a piece of him too?
  3. I ref a lot of soccer games and a 9 year old playing in a competitive game with 5 year olds is rather dangerous. Considering how size the alleged 9 year old probably has over the younger kids, he could really hurt someone. There's a lot of free balls, especially in little kid soccer where no one can posses it, so there's a lot of times where two opposing players are going for the ball and they don't always know how to control their bodies yet and collide. The potential risk for injury alone along with the obvious bending of the rules is a very poor lack of judgment by the coaches. Not only is it in the best interests of the other players to protect them, but also to teach all the kids a good lesson about life.

  5. I like to apply the philosophy that my English teacher had on questionable things, "If you're not sure whether it's appropriate or not, then it's probably not."
  6. I find it odd that every time Bonds was vying for a major home run record, the first at bat of his that I actually watch when he was trying to get the single season, and now all-time, home run records end up being the one. I apologize to the world for not tuning in sooner.
  7. It was probably the umpire's seeing eye dog..... Actually, I put my money on it being Wishbone or the dog from Frasier.
  8. Tonight makes me wonder how people lived before the advent of the internet, and I've had it basically all my life. What a sociological experiment!
  9. Hendrickson at least threw a strike.
  10. Football fields aren't as wide as soccer fields for one. I've also watched two games at Soldier Field and both have left something to be desired in terms of viewing
  11. So you're waiting on Jon? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  12. Pretty sure that Linebrink's family is going to last longer than his baseball career and that family comes first in priorities. There is more to life than baseball and your job.
  13. The Cubs are playing the Phillies whom have been playing well as of late. That's the Phillies, not the Cubs I mean. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  14. I'm going to gauge by the response of Brewer Nation this season that I might be the only person who hasn't felt any different during this season compared to seasons past. To me, it just feels like another year because I can completely forget about the Brewers record when they play a game and concentrate on today's game. Maybe I've been listening to too many Ned Yost Even Keel Inspirational cassette tapes or something. Maybe once it becomes mid August I'll feel some urgency with this team and the race, but as for right now, I just want to win the game we play each day.

  16. At least the Crew doesn't have to sit around for a day before they can get back at it to shake that bad loss. Gotta believe the pitching match up strongly favors Milwaukee and hopefully parlays into a win.

  19. I love how playing baseball automatically means you have knowledge. And to be fair, everyone is a midget compared to Barry.
  20. I hate it when Ned wakes up in the morning and says to himself "You know what? I want to lose today." Good thing Ned wants to lose too, cause then we can monitor what the Cubs do every night and make this race a little tighter. I mean, who wants to run away with the division?
  21. firejoemorgan.net has really put Morgan's glaring weaknesses on display for me. He sounds like a typical ESPN analyst who doesn't say anything because they speak in cliches or just promote the people they want to promote.
  22. To respond to the title of this thread in one word: no.
  23. I'm sorry, but Yost is not at fault for Villy forgetting to find the Zone with 2 out and nobody on. The use of Shouse was not a no-brainer either way, so as much as I'd like to, Yost doesn't get any of my blame tonight. Couldn't agree more. No one can predict a pitcher forgetting how to throw strikes, and Carlos only needed one measly out.
  24. Why would Yost be warming up a pitcher when Villanueva got the first two outs of the inning right away? How can Yost bring in a pitcher when he probably wasn't even ready to begin with and no signs of trouble showed right away? If anyone could have predicted that series of events given that Villanueva has been pretty good this year, they should really get themselves some lottery tickets.
  25. Pretty sure I found out about Right Field Bleachers and subsequently bought a t-shirt from them because of Myspace. So it's not just for pedophiles and spam.
