  1. Barrett jobbing to Khali, Ziggler jobbing to Truth and they wonder why there are no over heels in the company!
  2. weird that R-Truth can come back in a week and Orton can't when Truth's injury looked much worse. Apparently Joey Styles and Mick Foley were talking about Zack Ryder's bump off the ramp last night too. It looked pretty nasty and i'm not sure how you can really fake that, Cena threw up the X too but I haven't seen anything legit about the injury. Pretty terrible of Cena to throw up the X as part of an angle when the guy from TNA legit hurt his neck last week.
  3. I definitely think they need to have more wrestling on the programs like someone said earlier since the best way to get people over is to put them in the ring and let them wrestle! Plus, we don't need 20 minute long HHH speeches every week. Cut it half and put a US/IC title match on every week and try to make those belts meaningful again. I really kind of want HHH to go away permanently.
  4. Sad Zack Ryder in the wheelchair with the flowers after Cena kissed Eve was hilarious, but man this was a terrible Raw, especially for being the last one before Elimination Chamber.
  5. Ziggler CLEAN job to Truth, unbelievable. I don't know why I'm surprised that they're burying him before the PPV, but I'm really surprised that they're burying him before the PPV.
  6. I didn't expect Ziggler to win that match, but it would have been really nice if they didn't have Ziggler get pinned yet again!
  7. ha, wow Cecil is a grade A jackass. I thought they were doing better as of late too?
  8. it's funny because I get the same annoyed, frustrating feeling watching what they're doing to Ziggler as I got when Jericho first came to WWF and got booked in that ridiculous Chyna feud.
  9. I liked the Punk/Bryan/Jericho stuff as well. Basically anything to get Bryan more heat is something i'm in favor of since I think he's great as a heel. Pretty indifferent to Taker at this point, but I'm glad that he seemingly saved Big Johnny from getting fired, which I think would be a huge mistake since he seems to be one of the few heels that the crowd actually hates. Seems like my fears of Ziggler getting burried might be coming true, not sure who he's going to feud with now that Punk is out of the picture, but I hope they give him some mic time and decent matches and then push him again after WM.
  10. that Raw EC match looks good, but doesn't it pretty much guarantee a Punk win?
  11. first PPV I've watched in about 12 years, good to know that they're just as bad now as they were then, haha. what an anti-climactic rumble match. curious to see what happens tomorrow on raw since nothing got resolved and it doesn't seem like anything has really changed either.
  12. Really glad they had Punk beat Ziggler about 4 times this match, hope that doesn't mean that they're going to completely bury him, but I wouldn't be surprised. Pretty terrible PPV so far, hopefully the rumble match is good.
  13. Aside from Molitor and Yount, Prince is my favorite Brewer of all time. He was the first of the new wave of prospects to get me really excited and I bought his jersey in the fall of 2005 because I knew he was going to be a stud. I'll remember the multi-home run games at Wrigley, the bowling ball celebration, the inside the park home runs, the triples and how he always seemed to play hard. He's also one of the few guys on the Brewers over the past several years that seemed to show any plate discipline, which I loved about him. I'm really happy that he signed with the Tigers so that I can keep rooting for him and i'll even head down to the southside to see a few Tigers/White Sox games now. Hopefully when he comes back to Milwaukee he'll get a standing O for the 6 great years and 2 playoff appearances. We never had a chance to sign him and frankly it would have crippled the franchise had we given him the kind of money he wanted and I hope all of the casual fans out there realize that when he comes back around. He's a once in a lifetime kind of player and we should all be happy that we had him on our team for those 6 years.
  14. I'm guessing since they made a point to emphasize that Ziggler had pinned Punk 3 (now 4) times in the last few weeks that there's no chance Ziggler takes the belt at RR. I guess I wouldn't be surprised if Jericho interferes in that match and Punk drops the title and feuds with him though. Also kind of curious as to why they seem to be burying Ryder with all of this Kane ridiculousness now. Not that I was ever a huge Ryder fan, but it seemed like they were gearing him up for a pretty decent push with the US title and Cena pairing and just as quickly he's dropped the title and will seemingly be out for a while with a 'broken' back.
  15. I love what they're doing with Bryan. He wasn't a very interesting face, but he's fantastic as a heel and aside from Henry and Ziggler there really aren't any good ones on either brand. Smackdown is really lacking in the talent department compared to RAW though, wow.
  16. Pretty disappointing RAW I thought. I figured Jericho might pull his same act again, which was cool, I just hope they don't keep it up for too long. Would have liked to see more of Ziggler and much less of this Kane/Cena feud, especially with Kane suddently getting a lot of mic time. I do kind of like where they seem to be taking Daniel Bryan. Much more interesting as a heel. Also thought the Brodus Clay thing was really, really dumb. Hype it up for months and thne give us that?? We don't need Rikishi back. Agreed on Big Johnny finding his groove, curious to see what he does at RR.
  17. I was completely confused until he flashed that look at the end when he was getting booed. I love Jericho but was kind of hoping they'd let the Punk Ziggler feud go for a while since I think it was real potential. So does Jericho win the rumble and that's how we get Punk Jericho at WM? Can't imagine Punk dropping the title to Ziggler at RR.
  18. I have vivid memories of shutting down some early 20's girl's attempt at doing the wave in game 4 of the '08 NLDS after Suppan had given up his 3rd jack. unbelievable. The wave is the bane of my baseball existence.
  19. Thank you Ron for doing the sensical thing and starting Hairston. Between Greinke tomorrow and Hairston tonight, he's starting off the playoffs on the right foot in my mind.
  20. nervvous, very nervous. maybe not Packers 2010 playoffs levels of nerves, but pretty close. I've had very high expectations for this team all year and today is the start of the journey to fullfilling them. Hopefully Yo dominates and our offense jumps on Kennedy early and I can relax, but these games are usually pretty tight and can turn on one play. I just hope that they're a little looser than they were in 2008. While that was an awesome experience being at those games, we really didn't look that good at all. That experience should serve them well. Let's do it guys! This is what you play all year for! carpe diem!
  21. tonight's loss is meaningless in a statistical sense, but it's not meaningless at all if it's a sign of how Roenicke plans to manage in close and late games from now on.
  22. I don't think people are freaking out about losing a game to the cards, I think people are freaking out because this is the kind of game that we're going to have to win in the playoffs and they see the brewers booting away runs with awful defense, not being able to play fundamental situational baseball and our manager making horribly obvious bad decisions in crucial situations. Yuni is awful and has zero sac bunts all year, Counsell is useless aside from his bunting ability and yet the decision isn't made. Taylor Green may have to go all jeff gilooly on McGehee and the rest of the bench to get an AB. it's ridiculous. if this happened to be a deciding game in a playoff series, people would rightfully be calling for Roenicke's head. we're too good a team to be held back by blatant managerial mistakes and the inability to execute by a player that shouldn't be on any major league roster, let alone a pennant contender.
  23. really wish I was getting this game in Chicago, haha.
  24. I'm just concerned that a loss like this could send us into a mini-tailspin and cost us some of that big lead we have.
  25. unbelievable. if we blow this it is 100% on Roenicke. This game was well in hand, there was absolutely no reason to leave Wolf in the game once he allowed a baserunner, let alone 3!
