Unbelievable. I would seriously like to hear Roenicke's explanation as to why he keeps running Kotsay out there when Nyjer is better in literally every facet of the game! Roenicke'd -
I'm puzzled by the Kotsay love too. I just don't get how there can possibly be a situation where a righty is on the mound and a healthy Morgan is on the bench while Kotsay and Gomez weakly ground out/strike out.

Love Nyjer going for the extra bag there. reminds me a little bit of Molitor.

I'll be looking for advise too, since my fiance and I just booked flights there for a wedding in early September. I went there in highschool and absolutely loved it, so i'm excited to go back. Just kind of worried that I'll want to squeeze too much into the 6 days that we're there!

I can't think of any logical reason to play Kotsay over Morgan. It's not even two weeks into the season, but this is the kind of stuff that is driving me nuts about Roenicke.

Casey has been absolutely brutal so far this year. If we lose a close one, this inning will be the reason why.

I was in physical pain I was so stressed out during the last game of the '08 season. I expect tomorrow to be a fairly similar experience, with hopefully a similar result, haha.

I really hope Betancourt isn't our everyday SS. It'd be like buying a Ferrari and putting old busted tired on it (or something). There's got to be a little left in the budget for a legit shortstop.

i'd love to get Orlando Cabrera if he comes cheap. If you're Doug Melvin, you can't go and make a couple of really bold trades and plan on Betancourt being your everyday SS. -
if true, its exciting, but 5+ years of Escobar and Cain and 6 years of Jeffress and Odorizzi seems like a heck of a lot to give up for 2 years of Greinke. Can we contend with Betancourt and Gomez/Dickerson at SS and CF?

I think a lot of people (Macha) may have Juan Pierre syndrome with Gomez. sure, he's fast. but speed doesn't do you any good when you can't ever get on base! why do we need speed in front of Braun and Prince anyways??? I am beyond done with Gomez already.
