    yeah, Braun's contract really isn't bad at all, especially considering it decreases in value as it ages. The Brewers shouldn't eat any of it to move him, only to increase the return. Part of me hopes he sticks around though.

    I absolutely love that Craig used Jeffress in a tie game on the road in the 9th. Seems like such a no brainer to use your best relievers first, but it stuns me that basically nobody does it.

    Carter was signed to be flipped at the deadline if he produced and he's doing just that. We're not going to get a top 100 prospect or anything for him, but if he keeps this up until July, we could still get a nice piece or two. Unless he's injured, there is virtually no chance he's here past July 31, nor should he be.

    Turner screams AAA guy to me, no way do I want him headlining a Lucroy trade.

    seems like a shame to give up on Pena already, but I'm sure he'll clear waivers and be back in AAA shortly. I expect a lot of moves like this this year, shuffling the bottom of the 25 man roster in and out.

    Anyone have any examples of how long similar injuries have kept players out in the past? The good news is that we have him under control for many more years so it's not the end of the world if he ends up missing a large chunk of the season or something.

    Here is kind of a stupid, random question: on the rattlers cap logo, with the W and snake, is that supposed to be a grey baseball cap on the snakes head? Going to try to get up to a game this year and I'll probably buy some gear and this has been driving me nuts! Should be an exciting team though for sure.

    I really hope I can get games on FSG. I cancelled my MLB.tv subscription this year because I was planning on using my friends' credentials to watch the games via FSG.

    I want Hill to get as many ABs as possible early to try to build up his trade value. I'm really excited about Cecchini, but he'll get his chance. It's all about trying to maximize the value of assets and right now the best way to do that is to get Hill on track early so he can be traded.

    Think we sold high on Davis and Rogers and Segura hasn't shown anything in 2+ years. Love this trade, very, very excited about the future.

    I don't think Dave Stewart is very good at his job. Trading Toussaint in a salary dump that was pointless given the Greinke contract and now this? Wish Stearns could have made a trade with them before they got Miller.

    If someone claims Garza, we should just let them have him. I'm guessing he goes unclaimed for that reason. Can't see anyone wanting that contract with his current performance level.

    for the 19th and 22nd best prospects in Houston's system according to mlbtraderumors.com. That kind of dampens my excitement over what we can get for guys like Parra and Lind.

    I'm very concerned that Mark A is going to go full blown Herb Kohl on us and we'll be shooting for 75 wins every year so that we can show the fans we're "trying to compete".
