nice inning, now just need Marcum to shut them down. man, the idiot sitting behind the doorman gesturing at the camera all inning is going to drive me nuts if he keeps it up.
Not sure why Hairston isn't in there somewhere. I thought we were past this whole Kotsay in centerfield thing. No need for that at all, especially after yesterday's trade.
How's his defense in CF? I'm really hoping Craigers will ride off into the sunset with some dignity here, but like others have speculated, i'm sure it will be Carroll to go.
I'd like to think that he'd start every day be it in CF, SS or 3B. I'd give Lopez a shot at 2B for a bit and do everything I could to keep McGehee/Carroll out of the line up.
When I saw that about the K-Rod trade I also thought that Green is on the PTBNL list, which kind of stinks because if Casey continues to stink, we have nobody to play 3rd base. Plus it seems like a lot to give up for a couple of months of K-Rod.
I cringed when Rock was talking about how McGehee was heating up. he had like 3 or 4 singles on the road trip. that's not hot! when was his last XBH? June?
I was shocked to see that McGehee has played in over 100 games this year, good for 3rd on the team. Given his struggles, you'd think he'd get more than a couple of days off here and there to clear his head. Although I suppose his 'break' lasted for about a game and a half earlier this month.
not sure if this has been posted anywhere yet, but this seems like the right place. Saw this on espn.com this morning talking about the amount of plate appearances contenders have given to terrible players. If we miss the playoffs by a game or two, this is going to be a major reason why and it should probably cost Melvin/Roenicke their jobs. Inexcusable.
before this trip, if you would have told me we'd finish up 5-6, I would have jumped for joy, but I really feel like we're leaving at least a couple of wins out there with our stupidity. this team is maddening some times.
