  1. I got through once and then was able to keep adding games to my order so i didn't have to go through the hassle of the errors for each game.
  2. wow, what an epically bad trade for the Cubs. Bradley is still a quality major leaguer, Silva shouldn't have a place on any team's roster. I wonder if this spells the end of the Hendry era in Chicago? I sure hope not.
  3. I like 3 for $27. It's probably higher than i'd ideally like to go, but Wolf is a west coast guy so maybe we have to pay a premium to get him in. Like people have said, behind Lackey he's the best out there and we desperatly need pitching. When your farm system doesn't come close to producing major league pitching, these are the types of contracts you have to get in to. If the Wolf of the past 2 years shows up, this could be a great deal.
  4. Just got back and bought a game-used away Gabe Gross jersey for $150. I was hoping to find a Hall for a similar price, but those were over $500 i think. A Hall nameplate was $200! Kind of surprised at the prices ($800 for a Soup, come on now), but couldn't be more thrilled with the Gross find. Its a size 48 too, so I should be able to actually wear it too, which is nice.
  5. I'm pretty surprised we didn't offer Lopez for the reasons stated above, but I am SHOCKED that Wolf wasn't offered.
  6. So I was walking from my office in downtown Chicago to catch the el at the Merchandise Mart tonight and as I'm crossing the Franklin St. bridge i see that a couple is being professionally photographed by a handful of photographers, looks like the lady is in a wedding dress. I don't think much of it, but I turn around to look at the couple and I swear to god it was Mark Attanasio. My suspicions were heightened when I saw that the car waiting for them had California plates. I have no idea why he'd be in downtown Chicago, but if this wasn't him, it was a dead ringer for him. I really wanted to yell out a "Go Brewers!" or something like that to see if he acknowledged me, but I didn't want to intrude. Never in my life have I wished I was wearing a Brewers hat more than I did then, haha.
  7. I'm just worried about trading Gamel before he really gets a chance to shine and then McGehee turning back into a pumpkin. Maybe i'm way off base here, but whenever I see McGehee, I can't help but think 'Brady Clark'. Now if we can get back a young, mid to top of the rotation starter with upside that we control for several years for Gamel, then I think we have to entertain it. I don't want to be trading Gamel for depth though.
  8. WOW. The Tigers are not going to win this game. 1st and 3rd nobody out in the 9th, bases chucked one out in the 12th and they get nothing both times. Too bad because I really want to see them take it.
  9. dear Mark, please open up the checkbook and do whatever it takes to sign Prince long term. love, Brewers fans everywhere.
  10. has Macha spoken at all on why Mat isn't getting any PT?
  11. Macha did just that a couple sundays ago when we got shut out by the SF rookie. I thought it was a sweet looking line up. I just don't know why we're wasting his service time and seemingly hindering his development up here by not letting him play every day somewhere else. it's kind of ridiculous when Bill Hall is getting more ABs than your #1 prospect.
  12. man, this year feels like 2006 all over again. with all the injuries the division could be up for grabs and not that hard to get if we can get hot. hopefully it turns out better for us than 2006 did.
  13. has Hafner been having a good year or has he just been enjoying our pitching this series? Just get one more Villa!
  14. does anyone know if Burns made it to Florida? we might be in need of some long relief tonight.
  15. does Prince ground into more DPs than most players, or does it just seem that way to me? We really need to jump on Sanchez soon here. I don't want to see this game turn into one of those games where we put the pitcher on the ropes in the first inning, don't get anything and then let him settle into a groove. We need to score some runs, especially with Manny on the mound.
  16. surely my eyes deceive me and my gamecast did not just tell me that Prince got thrown out trying to steal third with nobody out.
  17. if Kendall comes back, i'd hope it's for ~$1mm with Rivera handling most of the catching duties. give Kendall a couple of starts a week, but that's it. I really hope Macha pairs up Rivera with another SP to get his bat into the lineup more often because Kendall is just a black hole up there.
  18. I would hope that Doug Melvin isn't dumb enough to take on that contract. That would be a franchise crippler for years to come.
  19. Corey's May is very closely resembling his September '08. I'm all for giving Gerut some starts in RF if he can't turn it around.
  20. how have Swindle's numbers been since his brief appearance in Milwaukee? This was an easy call with Mauer/Morneau in the Twins line up.
  21. Derosa was traded to Cleveland this off season. He's making $5.5mm this year, last year of the deal. I'd love it if this was the announcement, but I'm with the people that are speculating that it's something minor.
  22. hopefully we miss him when we play the Sox in interleague. it'll be interesting to see how he fairs moving from Petco to the Cell.
  23. I definitely plan out what jersey I wear to games based on who's pitching. so far I haven't found anything that goes well with Suppan though, haha.
  24. the more I think about it, I really think we just let Fielder walk after his 3 arby years unless we're looking to rebuild in 2011.
  25. that was awesome! it's always nice to hear someone talk up Milwaukee and it seemed like he genuinely loved his time here.
