  1. Then play Sardinas there. You're talking about the guy who posted a .493 OPS in his brief stint in Milwaukee, and a .645 OPS in Colorado Springs. That's kinda... underwhelming. Granted he's 22, and probably was rushed to the majors, but Segura looks like a better option at short than Sardinas right now. The Brewers are clearly rebuilding, Clancy. There's no need for position shenanigans when they just traded Aram and Gomez. Just put players on the field.
  2. I want to disagree with briggs, but Parra is 6th in the league in batting now, and 9th in Ops. If he were to continue at this pace for the rest of the year, the Cabrera and Brantley comps seem perfect. He looks like the kind of guy that gets offered a QO, then signs a 4/50 contract somewhere. He's going to get a lot more than 6-7 million--- he's certainly not going to start next year as a 4th outfielder for anyone.
  3. Makes sense--- they've wanted a SS, and Jose has success there. Now all they need is Gomez, and they'll have their dream team back.
  4. If there is, I would guess it's someone willing to take an expensive SS and trade a pitcher... How about the Padres flipping Shields for Reyes here. I have a hard time imagining the third team, if there is one, wouldn't be getting Reyes.
  5. I think there's gotta be a Reyes or a Travis in this too...
  6. Not enough. Arcia is on is way to a top 5 end of the year ranking. Maybe we get Russell and Scwarber. Something like that.
  7. Well, it would've been awesome, and I was right about Alcides
  8. trent clark is gonna hit for the cycle before the end of the fifth tonight...might get 50 rbi's in this game.
  9. Why would it shock you? He's putting up the season he's having as one of the youngest people in the Southern league against a bunch of the pitchers on the same list (Berrios, Stephenson, Snell,...). It's possible he will be ranked higher. He is killing the ball and playing high level MLB defense at 20. He's a stud. He's our very own Addison Russell. The last guy we has like this was Escobar, but I don't think he was ever this good; he certainly wasn't ranked this highly.
  10. Well there you go--- lots of graduations at the top will surely help several Brewers. I think we could have as many as 4 in the top 100 by seasons end ---Arcia, Lara, Lopez, and either Reed, Medeiros, or Diplan. There's a bunch of other guys on the fringe too like Williams, Clark, and Coulter.
  11. If the Brewers are really rebuilding, getting rid of these two and getting back as much money as possible without losing any prospects is crucial. The team has to strip down as close to nil as it can as quick as it can to be competitive sooner.
  12. He hit a lot of doubles in the middle minors and has good speed. His numbers are better than Sardinas and he's certainly not too old to suddenly find 10-15 hrs a year. He looks pretty good as a utility guy, but he might be a decent starter at 2b. Maybe at 3b.
  13. Lopez is a big dude--- he looks like he could throw harder, and I bet he would if he wasn't trying to control it. I wouldn't bother the rankings here...he looks good, exciting, and project able. Btw...I wouldn't be surprised to see Lara ranked #2, after Arcia
  14. I saw him pitch in the all-star game this week--he looked great. Of the guys on the Biloxi roster, he looks like the one with the most potential to be a 2-3 starter. But after seeing Blake Snell and Robert Stephenson, it's easy to see he's a little behind---mainly just because he doesn't throw super duper hard.
  15. Arcia hit a bomb in the 9th that was just foul to left--- also was robbed of extra bases on a line drive to left center in the first. He hit the ball very hard tonight.
  16. I'm headed to the Southern League all star game. Woot!
  17. I mean they got Touki just now, but they really bought him. And it's going to cost them a minimum of 10 million Arroyo bucks. That's a lot of toss around cash for one prospect. This is also a very interesting way to subvert the inability to trade draft picks...
  18. I know al very well, he's going to college.
  19. If they draft al jones, I'll call his mom and tell her to make him sign.
  20. Or now, Everett? Are they just on Autodraft?
  21. I agree with scooter. I think he's got the rest of this season to prove himself--- because otherwise, I could see the brewers moving Segura going to second and Arcia at SS as soon as opening day next year(or whenever the kris Bryant date was this year).
