  1. I'm not going to be annoyed about this until CV actually starts that game tomorrow..
  2. rotoworld reports, as usual...don't know that there's much here we'd want...
  3. Probably because they were getting the living crap kicked out of themselves
  4. I think i read something the other day that washburn's groundball rate had gone up a lot this season---still...he's very suspicious...i wouldn't give up anyone in the top 5 for him, that's for sure...
  5. already being discussed
  6. Brandon morrow has big time potential...i'd love a package of washburn and Morrow---I don't want to trade alcides for those guys...but if we could get both of them without trading escobar or gamel, that's a good trade..
  7. If you could sell hardy or hart (or Mcgeheeeeee) i say think about it...they have value and it wouldn't really hurt the team to let one of them go (that is assuming that CM isn't going to start very much anymore...i still think Mitch Stetter has more value as trade bait than he does to the team///
  8. Rotoworld reporting that the Rays are in talks with the Angels about Trading Kazmir...so, throw another name in the pot...though i personally think this one is a serious stretch
  9. Jim---you bolded Stephen Chapman like he was with Huntsville...of course, he's probably relishing the opportunity to beat up on the team he would have been playing with if the Brewers hadn't released him...
  10. If you could get Cabrera for under 4 million a year, why not? I mean, a decent shortstop isn't terribly expensive...I love Hardy...he's above average defensively and has been one of the top three hitters on the team the last few years...but, there's value to trading him...especially if the brewers don't plan on resigning him I love that this team is mostly homegrown...but signing free agents and traing for players isn't a bad thing...it's all about maximizing your player's worth...
  11. There is no way that Billy Hall is traded for Halladay--none...he has more negative value than escobar has positive...
  12. "We could draft a college SS replacement with the draft pick that not re-signing Halladay in 2011 would net." Josh Prince. and End is right, there's a lot of value in Escobar...but he's most likely not going to be a great hitter...Gamel has a very good shot...and could play 4 positions and still be above average...Escobar can only be that way at one.
  13. Endaround has it...Escobar is going to be a .750 OPS SS with vert good defensive skilss...you trade him and sign a player a lot like him for 3-4 million on the open market---you can still trade hardy... if they are ever going to trade alcides, now is the time---the odds of him becomming hanley ramirez are 1 in 1000...the odds of him becoming rey ordonez are much. much higher...Gamel will hit...escobar? league average hitter...that's why they should trad ehim now, while he has that "Top prospect" sheen--before people realize he's got more in common with Jed Lowrie than Jose Reyes
  14. welcome aboard---we ove first hand accounts and opinions...please feel free to add to the daily link reports as often as you can.
  15. just in case you can't sleep, there's a woot off on.
  16. Stephen Chapman finally gets to AA...for the Carolina Mudcats
  17. all of the articles are about hard working people or fish...i laughed for like 20 minutes about it this morning IT FISH TIME!
  18. My parents got divorced when i was 16 and my brother was 18...about 3 years later, my mom got really sick with Stills disease and my father offered to take care of her at the hospital...then he came back to the house to help take care more...then he never left. they are still divorced and they sleep in separate rooms...but they seem like better friends than ever before...i know it's weird, but it's not actually that unusual...supposedly, staying together for the kids really can mess you up...you have to stay together because the bond is stronger---once the kids went away (ie, moved out) they realized that they actually did share something---they just needed independence as well...
  19. eat at Krystal 17 times a day and stay the heck away from Opry mills.
  20. Isn't Catalanotto like Gillespie's ceiling anyway? I likd Cole Gillespie more than most---but this is peanuts for a good mlb player.
  21. his last 500 ab's have been way above his career averages...i don't think he's a star, but he's been a very good player since he left Washington...also, while his home road splits are huge this year, last year they were the exact opposite...i'm guessing he's a very streaky hitter... either way, we should get a pick for him at the end of the year...and it gives us the depth to do some other stuff that needs to be done.
  22. Since the FSL All-star break, Logan Schafer is at .308/.396/.440 with 10 walks to 9 k's...awesome...he's also got 22 doubles on the season now.
  23. There's been zero indication that zach has been suspended or is dealing with off the field problems of that variety
  24. Yeah Gindl's plate discipline combined with his power and arm makes me think we got a real mlb guy here...i anticipate nothing short of brian giles when he arrives...and hopefully, the brewers start moving him a little more aggressively---he should finish the year at AA and start there next year as well...Like Taylor Green, he hasn't disappointed for a second...unlike Taylor Green, he's a lot more projectable..
  25. I don't think JJ's season is the black hole it has appeared to be...he's a streaky hitter...and even through his low ba, his power has not gone away..., yes, he's a bit below his career line, but i bet he finishes this season with 20 homers, a .260 batting average and a .770+ ops...he'll have good trade value at season's end..
