  1. I agree, but or some reason, the brewers haven't been linked to him at all this year...i'm also not sure why no one sees him as a starting pitcher any longer...
  2. he missed a full month of the season...if i had to guess, i'd say he ends up around 360....the crazy thing about a season like this is that he could hit 3.60 from here on out and still not get .400...it's insanely hard to do.
  3. It seems like one of those early 2000's cubs coulda use him...kinda feel bad for the guy, but i know he's one of many that hang around forever and don't get a chance
  4. He could be harder out of the pen, but the guy who told me he was throwing 91-92 at tops was actually Zach Braddock, but that was in 2007 at WV
  5. Braddock is awesome, but he doesn't throw mid 90's guys...he hits 91-92, but he works high 80's...for a lefty with pinpoint control, though...it doesn't mater as much.. does anyone have an accurate reading on Wily peralta's fastball? Since the Brewers left the sally league, i don't get to see these guys anymore. edit: Keep a close eye on Evan frederickson---the guy's got more helium than anyone in the system--if his control problems are legitimately fixed, he's the LHP Neugie...which means he could shoot straight to the top of the prospect lists
  6. "Who do the Brewers have in the minors getting off the DL soon? " Brett Lawrie---just a coincidence, i'm sure
  7. My Former student, Matthew Taylor, drafted in the 50th by the Pirates---he's committed to Alabama, so I suspect he'll forego and try to improve on his slot...
  8. Is The Manyan gonna be an all-star?
  9. The Rockies have Fowler sharing hisplaying time with way too many people...really, its the same deal with rasmus...I mean, at this point, Jordan Schafer could come back up and jump right back in this...How about Tommy Hanson with 10 wins and 125-150 k's?
  10. Wasn't serious, but they are promoting him at an identical rate to ryan braun, so, umm.., i guess his eta is late may 2010
  11. Here's to Logan Schafer, the Brewers starting CF in 2010!
  12. I'll be there with the wife on friday and the guys sunday
  13. Well, the good news about schafer is that he is definitely a natural hitter...maybe he'll take more walks at the higher levels like alcides and others (braun, hart) have done.. of curse, maybe he won't...i think the brewers really like him...I wouldn't b surprised to see him in AA after the all-star break
  14. a .46 differential in obp forhart is much more valuable than the possibility that Katin hits for slightly more power... Katin had the exact same season last year..he basically needs to double his walk total to have any chance
  15. the good news is that he wasn't immediately put on the dl...it's also good news that craig counsell has been really hot.. rickie weeks is cursed
  16. There's no reason on earth for him to do that intentionally.. although, it was pretty cool...
  17. McGowan is the man...he sings like he looks, which makes it even better...
  18. I had Gamel on May 25th in the farm hops round table at the beginning of the season
  19. Off-topic, but i love that that picture of jj is still floating around...who took that, toby, michael, chris?
  20. dhonks--- Koshansky has a lot in common with nelson..he probably wouldn't be a lot different as a stop gap
  21. Taking the stolen bases away from players who are successful at it like cameron and hart negates some of their value...i agree with macha, of course, but some guys are good at this...a blanket stop order for the team will cost us runs
  22. Jeff Housman. I want to see Cody get AAA hitters out.
