  1. Anyone else starting to think Cole Gillespie's final stat line from 2009 is going to mirror his 2008 line in huntsville?
  2. ps3, coaching fastpitch softball, and working on the cars
  3. I think Brendan Katin would be Laynce Nix without the defense in the majors....740 OPS, but a .230 BA with a .260 obp...he scares me...if we trade Hart, I'd much rather just play Cat and Gerut
  4. Heether and Wright have very little trade value---you could probably swap them for similar mid to late 20's AAA players, but there's no way you could get a legitimate mlb guy for that.. I mean, it takes at least Brian Wolfe to get Corey Koskie.... the guys you listed are throw in's....there the kind of guys you get for single a maybe guys... also, the royals have Alex Gordon who will be rejoining the team very soon at 3b... to get Gil Meche I'm guessing you need one legit prospect---Something like Angle Salome+Brendan Katin might be enough...but Knowing Moore, he'd probably prefer something like Cutter Dykstra and Steve Braun---the bloodlines!
  5. you think they'd take Bailey over Yo Gallardo? (It could happen...it did happen!)
  6. I'm sure he wants a deal like Teixiera got---why shouldn't he?
  7. I think they should let someone get 15 saves in the first half and then trade him every year---trading the closer is easy money...actually, i was wondering what kind of market there is for a guy like Mitch Stetter...there's always some team that will trade serious products for a loogy...stetter's pitching above his head and could be replaced at 90% of his ability in house...or better if you bring up braddock
  8. They do put obp on the scoreboard in Atlanta, Jeff...
  9. the ghost of avril lavigne's future?
  10. I am the luckiest man on earth... 4.25 on a 15 year...twas a good day---just refinanced this in June...
  11. I'd trade escobar before Gaeml---Gamel's already a decent MLB contributor and i think he's going to be a high OBp with decent power---I think Alcides is a great glove with a .750 OPS...i thik our lineup needs Gamel more...so, I'd trade escobar---actually, i said at the beginning of the season i thought they'd trade him for Halladay so, well, i still do.. Escobar+Braddock+Salome=Halladay
  12. What an unbelievable draft...2005 may go down as the best of all time...
  13. Vince Coleman stole 107 bases in 1986 with this line--- .232/.301/.280/.581 Like Josh Prince, I'm guessing he stole every single time he was on first that season...
  14. Logan Schafer walked again...the new steve moss?
  15. Yeah, hanson's got the national media exposure that mcgehee doesn't have as well
  16. Would suspect Logan Schafer was told he needed to walk more to move up quickly while he was in Huntsville...hopefully the trend over the last month continues...
  17. well, at least he wasn't pitching well---this would be a lot harder to toke if he hadn't been sucky this year...
  18. There exactly the same age, so it's not like Lucroy is really behind Angel---I think it's possible they bump Lucroy up for the latter half of the season---or just look at them as competing now...i suspect one of these guys is going to split time with rivera in the majors next year...and based on those comments, it isn't going to be Angel...
  19. I want Lucroy in AAA just so we can here Money compare him to Salome---
  20. You mean Jose...Carlos sucks for the Tigers
  21. Since I have a slightly different perspective, let me offer up Sweet Home Alabama and Crazy Train---there's just something about living 5 miles from Al., and Chipper Jones walk up music that makes me want to kill myself(and the fact that my pothead neighbor exclusively listened to Sweet home alabama for about 3 months)
  22. Mat's actually been prone to hot and cold streaks in the minors...he started last year completely on fire and finished the season frozen...the final numbers looked good, but he was very streaky...we'll probably see lots of stretches of the good and bad with mat---but he's held his own..
  23. Johnny Estrada and Gary Majewski
  24. He's regressed back to his usual stat line after a hot start...I expected Mike to bat about .250 at the beginning of the year, and that's pretty much where he is now....he'll probably hit a hot streak again pretty soon.. Of course, it wouldn't hurt the team to get Gerut some more ab's...
