    if beltre's a "proven-run producer," then why isn't jenkins? beltre's not very good..and hes absurdly expensive.. i wouldnt trde davis for him in a million years...in face, if he was offered up for nothing, i'd probably say no..

    I want the team to be better---not jsut teh bullpen if adding jason jennings makes the team better overall, then i say go for it... i also don't think the brewers should spend more money on the pen...2006 was a weird year, but every other year the pen has been great, even though it was pulled together from castaways and scraps...i have great confidence that the team can do that again in 2007 so, i see the bullpen as a place that other teams over value, and the brewers could get some good players for mediocre relievers...

    i don't think removing turnbow or cappellan would "deplete" the bull pen... I think sarfate and eveland are ready to be MLB relievers, and neither t-bow or latin cappy were great last year...

    if you watched "30 Rock" after the office, you would have noticed that the entire episode was about "product integration" I think the stables bit was a little bit of fun from NBC to stay in theme last night...

    The marlins wouldnt trade willis for that junk...i'm sure they'd hang up on cashman if he offered anything less than Hughes plus...

    Rotoworld suggests that the rockies asked the astros for Chris Burke and Brad Lidge, and that that was waaaay too much for jennings---they suggested the rockies might throw in Hawpe as well... which leads to my question: what about Clark (or TGJ) and Turnbow or Cappellan for Jennings? That trade wouldn't cost the brewers a huge element of the team, and would give them much more depth at SP.. then, if they are absolutely insistent on trading Davis (who will actuallt cost LESS than Jennings in the long run), they can get more for him...

    the kid is 21 and rich... he isnt as much trouble as elijah dukes...and he's no josh hamilton or rae carruth, so i think he's probably ok... he probably just needs to mature---and if his "trouble" is enough to get him to milwaukee, i can live with it..

    The Mets appear to be looking for suitors for Lastings Milledge, or at least are open to the thought of trading him...for the time being, it appears that his price tag has gone down a good deal now, i'm not saying that lastings could be had for Mench, but i think Capuano and a prospect might be enough to get him... He struggled a bit in the majors last year, but he wasn't terrible and his minor league stats are all very good for a Cfer I'm not sure the Brewers could get him, but I think he would be much better to acquire than dave Roberts...

    It's kinda funny that you found that quote--- I think if Mench hadn't played for the crew last year, we'd be talking about him as a possible replacement for jenkins...His overall stats for the last few years are pretty good and he's the kind of player the brewers (obviously) go after, he just had a slump with the crew... now, i'm not saying we keep him, but if he wasn't already a brewer, I'm pretty sure we'd be talking about him in the same breath as jose guillen and dave roberts, etc... i'm sure he has more value than we think on the trade market..

    I think he's pretty much a butcher in the field, so i'm guessing they are thinking of him more as a dh at the moment...but he only .216 this year, and if he had 650 ab's, he would have k'ed in the 180's... i'd take him if they are giving him away, but he's not a player i'd target... elijah dukes would probably be the easiest to acquire, and maybe the best player the drays theoretically have to trade this winter...though he's insane

    If the brewers did get wells, it would only cause massive heartache for all his fans when he turns down their 4 years 60 million dollar offer to go get whatever soriano gets this year from the orioles or something...

    I think braun should stay in Nashville until June simply to push arby back an extra year...if braun lives up to his potential, then having him an extra year will be huge...

    not a whole lot...some older minor league pitchers? Maybe someone who is on the cusp, but hasn't put it together, or someone that's just out of favor with his current team.. the brewers got graffinino for JDLR last year...i would expect the tables to swap and the brewers could get someone like JDLR for Koskie...
