  1. So Cal sucks...i would want to be far away no offense socal..
  2. meaning he'll get there just as fast in an airplane from milwaukee as he would from san fran... i think the brewers have a good shot at this...
  3. Yeah, Suppan is pretty nice, but he should get more than lilly or Meche---which prices him out of the brewers range, and well...sanity... Though I'm pretty sure you could count on Suppan pitching about the same for the next 4 years, so he'll be a better deal than those other guys...and he's got extreme familiarity with the division... I'd like to have him...he was in my top 5 of free agents this off season, and I think he'd be a wiser signing than maybe anyone else who was available..
  4. sure, Huff's been doing it longer, but Brady clark and Gross mixed together should put up a better stat line than huff..and for half the cost...not to mention they are already on the team... 5 years ago, i really wanted huff to play 3b, but the ship has sailed, and he's just not that great anymore..
  5. if he signs for anything less than 4/ 40 million, then he got robbed in this market... i wouldn't give him more than i would give doug davis...so i think 3/22-24 is the absolute max i'd go with suppan...
  6. i'd like him...but i doubt the brewers actually are..
  7. Yeah, JJ Hardy is better than some teams starting SS---even if you ignore his potential for getting better... Hardy is 3 years younger, and better in EVERY aspect of his game than Barmes
  8. yeah, a high schooler...pay no attention to statistics in rookie ball... he has more potential than anyone else on the farm...
  9. they got the braun/yo order correct...that's pleasing...i love the high rank of cain and gillespie...those two should be mainstays of top ten lists for the next few years..Charlie fermaint gets dissed... will inman could be the #1 prospect by July, so i think he's an "excellent prospect" but i understand the reasoning..
  10. is barmes owed money? I can see barmes as an add in to a deal to even salaries out, but otherwise, i think this is wishful thinking on the part of the colorado writer... the rockies have the right idea though, as brady clark would probably bat .330 in coors...
  11. ohka's got injury issues...
  12. didnt jordan once sign with the bull for like 1/ 50 million? with that in mind, i think the chicago bulls sign clemens to a 1 yr/100 million dollar deal
  13. im a huge fan of the mlb draft, but its going to make lousy tv...
  14. i told him i was married, but...
  15. http://www.minorleaguebaseball.com/clubs/t449/images/content/040811a.jpg I guess I assumed he was really fat, or short..but no.. I'll be rooting hard for this guy...
  16. rogers had some trouble with blisters in 2005...its possible he tweaked his delivery to overcome the hand stuff as well...theres a million different ways to screw up a shoulder....im willing to be that 90% of pitchers experience regular discomfort, but it only hinders some guys performance.. rogers, apparently is having a hard time throwing strikes..
  17. quite a stick to grab in the minor league rule 5...cool saw him in hickory last year, but don't really remember him..
  18. mench and tbow for lieber and madson would be nice
  19. rotoworld knows us pretty well.. i think doug melvins constant mentioning of "internet rumors" is directly aimed at us..
  20. with turnbow heading out, i think dennis is just solidifying his spot in the pen... all he needs to do is throw more strike, and he's got it made...
  21. having to memorize the usage section of grammar books just so i won't upset some curmudgeon at my school... oh yeah, and spellcheck causing me to not be able to spell without help..
  22. he didnt pitch many innings last year and he has a cannon for an arm...he's got a lot in common with mark rogers, and i'm sure the brewers arent expecting him to click right away.. toby predicts him to stay in rookie ball for another year, which is likely, but he has an outside shot of starting in WV... he's got huge upside, but its gonna be many years before we see it in milwaukee...
  23. i think their not sold on ethier, actually...
  24. yea, i'm hoping for more than just liber here....melvin never trades without getting a nugget or two, and i'm sure thats still the case....
