  1. i think craig breslow is probably the answer to all of them.. the super hard one was hilarious...i briefly remember that guy..
  2. The Cy Young award will be renamed the Chad petty award in 2010 ---And That in 2002
  3. assuming that melvin has access to stats like this, i think this article goes a long way to demonstrate why the brewers are reting much easier with suppan in the fold...if you can dump those starts from the 6+ ERA guys, then the brewers would have probably won another 5 games last year... shazam!
  4. Manny ramirez is lazy and big...i suspect his sloppiness and size will stop him from being a succesful player ---Andthat in 1992
  5. i think he'll stick...while people talk about his defensive shortcomings constantly, i largely think its is because they cant think of any other negative things to say about him... its also pretty clear that the brewers want him at 3b, considering they just moved their best position player to the outfield for him...
  6. so when did he start hurting? before he changed his rotation back? After? Did the blisters in 2005 have any effect?
  7. by the way, you guys suck
  8. rotoworld suggests that randy just wants to move back to his home... hey, i understand that completely... i hope the yankees dont get anything good in return for him..
  9. the brewers have control of vargas, capuano and others for 3 + years each, so playing out a season or two before trading them is possible...and if having the depth gives the crew a better shot at making the playoffs, they should probably be held another season or two... if carlos v. or Yo. are so dominant that they have to jump in the rotation in mid july, then the crew can trade someone then..
  10. i dont think we have a pitching surplus myself...maybe next offseason...but theres no pressure to use Carlos v. or Yo next season...they are both young and should benefit from taking it slower in AAA... I'm sure CV the younger will wind up getting a shot this year...i' just glad the brewers wont be forced to run the entire nashville rotation onto the field this year...
  11. ga- yar - doh
  12. i think they may pursue bullpen help, but i'd rather trade whoever needs to be traded for prospects... I think the outfield is looking like gross-Hall-hart...which is aok with me...in fact, i'm beginning to prefer gross over jenkins, just because he's younger and could/should exceed jenks last year..
  13. over 28k views....holy crap
  14. what about the cover story on brian from the js a couple of years ago? what about countless mentions by jim powell? what about drew olsen? what about references from the organization itself? We have these things, we just need to pool and cite all our resources, and they'll have no choice.. jerks
  15. honestly i think they are too big
  16. michael brantley got a huge amount of love around here all summer...i think i was the only one not constantly singing the guy's praises..
  17. clearly superior? kinda funny that you say clearly when you qualify your statement with "IMO" and "with an unbiased eye" Rios may be better now, but the difference is pretty minimal...BTW, Corey Hart will prove to be an above average defensive player in his career... and he's already with the team...i dont think you should ever trade for a player who might be just a slight bit better than what you've already got...some think the grass is greaner...others, eric young...i say we are pretty good already..
  18. trachsel is a pretty boring pitcher, but i would be very confident that he could through 180 innings with an ERA less than 4.50 since they might could sign him for 2/10 million, he's a solid deal..
  19. is melky cabrera really any good? I don't think he's better than corey hart... so why the heck is he getting so much press? NY---that's why. And, its the only reason...if he played in KC nobody would have a clue who he was..
  20. Angel is a very unique ball player---because of his size, i'm not sure many know what to expect of him...he had the most power of any of the WV hitters this year, but without similar players in baseball, he's really hard to project... don't forget thata he's coming off of injury as well... if he hits 15 bombs in brevard next year with a .300 average, he'll be top 50.. edit: don't forget to vote in the top prospects poll!!!
  21. brevard is like the grand canyon.... Cain is a better prospect than fermain---but not by much...Lorenzo will ahve about a .750 ops at brevard next year, while chuck will have about an .800 in Huntsville... Fermaint is a very similar player...and underrated for some reason.
  22. Good for cain...why does no one love charlie fermaint? I think Cain will put up similar numbers to fermaint in brevard next year...so i think fermaint should get more credit---he'll be an .800 ops cfer in Huntsville, which qualifies him as top 10 in my book (but not even top 20 in sickels)
  23. i saw him catch at georgia and he wasnt very good...i'm amazed he has made it this far...but he looked much better last year than he did 5 years ago at UGA
  24. Dot instead of Lisa simpson
  25. I really like mark Rogers, but this kinda kills it...Ya know Mike Jones went through the same stuff, but he at least had success as high as AA...Mark really hasnt had any... I know the bandwagon wants to quit drafting High school pitchers---I'm not quite there yet---because i really want to see one of these guys work out...I guess I just think trades are the way to go with pitching...the brewers have the hardest time developing pitchers, and honestly, I'm sick of it... Look forward to me heavily promoting Chuck Fermaint, Lorenzo Cain, and Cole Gillespie in the future..
