Is he the guy where the Brewers record was 89-1 (or something like that) in games he attended in person? LOL. Yes, that was the guy. I am hoping he still reads these boards and sees this thread and comes back. I enjoyed the bickering and bravado for some reason.

He just posted here on March 9th.... does someone know if he was sick?
  3. DocLuna7
    Wow.... kind of unreal.

The Princefielderxx1 who guaranteed world championships last season. But seriously, what happened to a lot of these posters?

I am really, really, glad that we haven't had to discuss this since about 1994 or 1995 when the debate was swirling about whether or not to build Miller Park.

I tend to agree with those who have posted that we shouldn't really be over-thinking this extension. I think the organization probably correctly assumes that it would be worse to go into the year with the team facing questions about the manager's status than to pick up the option for what is a drop in the bucket financially compared to most team expenses.

I think that the ship on Gamel has sailed. Did the NYY look at him for all of about five days or so?

I dunno. Even though Intentional Talk can be a bit over the top I am overall a huge fan of MLB Network. It is absolutely refreshing and awesome being able to watch some baseball talk while eating my breakfast on a cold day in December.

I enjoyed Dexter and Arrested Development. Both have been out for awhile but worth watching if you haven't yet.

I mean, I know that Gold Gloves are a bit overrated but Parra did win a Gold Glove in the OUTFIELD right?

Already another major injury for the Rangers this season. They have really been hit hard by the injury bug the last two seasons.

Hi guys, Apologies on the late reply. I do have plans for later this afternoon but am going to try and get over there around 7 or a little after. Looking forward to meeting people in person.

FWIW, I think that if you scroll down on the link below you'll find that a very sweet looking 1982 Brewers Police card is an even older card of Jones in a Brewers uniform. http://offhiatusbaseball.blogspot.com/2014/03/brewers-police-cards.html Are you including the Police Cards in your project?

Derek Jeter & Paul Konerko last season Then again they were both awful last season... perhaps because their hearts weren't into it.

I keep having this feeling that after this year the team is going to change logos/uniforms again. Obviously I am just speculating but maybe they go back to the ball and glove and maybe try something new. Hard to believe that our current logo has been in place for sixteen seasons on Opening Day while the ball and glove had a sixteen year run before being changed for the '94 season.

Honestly, at this point I just empathize with Hamilton. He obviously has not fully kicked these addictions or destructive behaviors and I am sure having a spotlight on him all the time as a highly paid professional athlete doesn't help.

There was absolutely zero chance, none, that KRod was getting $10m. That was Boras just raising the negotiation levels and overvaluing his client.
  19. DocLuna7
Guess that we can take the question mark off of this thread's title.
  20. DocLuna7
Doesn't court and all official business or government activities get cancelled if it's on Opening Day?

Cecchini's lack of power is a concern to me if we don't find other ways to replace it in our lineup. Going forward after 2015 we don't have ARam and the natural power that he has. Call me hopeful but not betting on a return to previous power numbers from Braun. We will need to find some power somewhere and taking a power position and giving it to a guy who strikes me as a worse version than Casey McGehee doesn't seem like the best of plans.

    A new yearly tradition?
  23. DocLuna7
Though I am hoping that we all hear today that KRod has signed a five year deal with the Dodgers I keep having this sneaking suspicion that he will suddenly arrive in Maryvale any day now. Let's hope that Amaro softens on what he wants for Papelbon or DM sees some good things from Thornburg and Henderson.

Happy start of spring training everyone. Very excited for those first pictures to come out of good weather and baseball.

So much for KRod restocking the farm system.
