  1. I think this is the second Sunday in a row we have been two hit. Just wanted to point that out
  2. We maximized our opportunities enough to win and the Pirates did not.
  3. This is cool and thanks for sharing this with the board Agent. I am up for doing what we can to make JJ an all star this year (if he does this for another month he should be a no brainer). I wonder if you could tell us whether or not JJ or any other other players ever check these boards? I know that we have had Jeff Juden, Brooks Kieschnick, and Ben Hendrickson's Dad post here over the years, but I am curious if you know of anyone on the current team that takes the time to read these posts? Also, I will be in DC for the all star game and would love to check out the podcast. Thanks again for posting!
  4. Whenever I read your posts, I really wonder why you even follow this team. And I don't say that rudely. I say it because you seem to hate just about everything about them. It is rather odd to me. Was about to post the exact same thing.
  5. Is the link broken on this or is it just me? Have enjoyed the other podcasts you’ve posted!
  6. Did I read somewhere that the roster move is expected to happen today? Guessing after tonight's game
  7. Since this is a rebuilding year couldn’t we just sign him this off season?
  8. For what it’s worth, in the early 2000’s we had Rod Carew as our hitting coach. It didn’t help much.
  9. As good as Stearns is, and I think he is.. It amazes me he fell into the trap of resigning Sogard to a major league deal after last year. He had a crazy couple week run that was as flukey as flukey gets. He has no business being on a major league roster. No offense to the guy, but he just doesn't. Yeah, I think Stearns fell into the trap of thinking this team is better than they really are with an overachieving 2017 season. Year two of a rebuilding process almost never results in 86 wins. That's probably where you should be year three.Instead he went out and got Cain and Yelich thinking he'd be putting the finishing touches on a championship caliber team. If that was the case don’t you think that maybe stearns would have acquired a TOR starting pitcher? Do you have any real evidence that acquiring Cain and Yelich were done as the “finishing touches” on a championship team or are you speculating? There is (and has been) an argument that says those guys are acquired to help both short and long term success
  10. Not necessarily indicative of another player’s future performance.
  11. Well I will take it. Wish that Cain had really broken hard out of the box and was sitting on third
  12. Tough loss but this team doesn’t quit. Already excited for tomorrow’s day game.
  13. Came on here to post exactly that. Good grief Disagree- Take your walk. Cain leads off the 3rd Except when you strike out looking.
  14. Was wondering who he was talking to rounding the bases after that one.
  15. Was it Molitor? Yes sir, July 26 1987 Cool! Thought I remembered that from the 1987 brewers highlight video and enjoyed seeing a very disgruntled looking Tony la Russa in the A’s dugout.
  16. I had to look it up because this was bugging me but my first guess was Gomez. He did come close once stealing 2nd and 3rd in one inning. Was it Molitor?
  17. True but I don’t mind Thames taking the risk in that case. Throw was clearly going to third and, if safe, he eliminates the potential double play possibility.
  18. I totally agree with this and have said the same thing at other points on this board. Having a ten day DL now should make this a no brainer for all but the most minor injuries
  19. Does anyone know what he passed from? The article just says a long illness. Didn’t he broadcast as recently as last season occasionally?
  20. I am really hoping that Arcia can return by Tuesday night’s game otherwise we should have recalled Dubon and put him on the ten day DL. Not a knock on Sogard but his best value to us comes as a guy who can put up a decent at bat off the bench... not as a starter for more than a game or two
