They would have to put in Joe Jackson as well if the Hall is looking only at on-Field performance and ignoring other stuff. In fact, I think one can make the argument for Jackson and Rose ahead of Bonds or Clemens since their infractions didn’t effect on field stuff

I really doubt the Brewers retire his number. Don Sutton pitched for the Brewers for three seasons and did so in a World Series team and his number isn’t retired. I think maybe adding him to the Wall of Honor if he isn’t there already would be appropriate or perhaps Indicting him into the Brewers Walk of Fame thing outside at Miller Park at most

I think this year’s class all deserve to be in. Obviously Hoffman goes in as a Padre but very cool that he played here for two seasons and was able to achieve a big milestone save while with us. Seemed like a true class act

Oh no! That doesn't fit into the "We have to wait to make our big announcement for our On Deck pep rally!" Deal off! Come on, I can't be the only one that is a little miffed that they like to "break" news at their annual pep rally. Seems kind of juvenile. Seems really contrived if true. Reminds me of signs telling fans to cheer in-game. Hopefully the fan fest has nothing to do with anything baseball ops related

Hoping today is the day something finally goes down or we can put these rumors to bed. Been a long couple of days refreshing and re-refreshing this site lol.

Is that pic of stearns real?
  7. DocLuna7
Thought HH said trade A is no longer happening?
  8. DocLuna7
    Well there goes that

I don’t mind it...until they get something “right” and expect some kind of praise etc. There was that guy last year or the year before where his attitude wasn’t worth any information. Was that the PronceFielderXx1 guy?

Are you able to check in with an update HighHeat?
  11. DocLuna7
Who's in that crop? Dallas Keuchel, possibly Clayton Kershaw, Gio Gonzalez, Drew Pomeranz, Patrick Corbin. Probably forgetting a couple. We have saved a LOT of money the last few years with really only having Braun and Garza as big contracts. I don’t think one free agent signing is going to limit future free agent signings all that much going forward

Should be or not and for the SP and 2B Guy should probably at least spell Milwaukee right if he hopes to be taken seriously.

I would be beyond ecstatic if we could ever get Marcus Stroman but don’t see the Jays giving him up
  14. DocLuna7
    So no Yelich
  15. DocLuna7
Ok thanks. Interesting stuff. Have no idea why we would want ellsbury if that’s a true rumor

What makes you say that? He either guessed well or had inside info last year. I believed him then and I believe him now. Fair enough. Willing to give you the benefit of the doubt. High heat can you tell us if your source indicated whether or not this is coming down tonight?
  17. DocLuna7
    What makes you say that?

I think Eric Arnett as number one pick might still be the worst individual draft selection by the Brewers ever.

Anyone else find it odd that this was essentially in place on Dec 21st, they finally announced the terms yesterday, but no official announcement and 40 man roster adjustment yet. It’s almost like they are stalling the announcement, waiting on a trade or something that would clear a 40 man spot for him. Yeah, very odd. Kind of did a double take today when looking at the brewers roster and didn’t see him on it yet. That’s what led me to ask in my earlier post.
  20. DocLuna7
Do we need to make a roster move to make this signing official?
  21. DocLuna7
Was just thinking that myself. I believe you’re right. Outside of Harvey Kuenn everyone else is still alive.

Does anyone on here have the Nintendo switch? If so I am curious to hear some reviews as I am very inclined to pull the trigger on one this month.
  23. DocLuna7
Wasn't that Jeffrey Leonard? My bad! Still pissed we traded Ernie Riles for Leonard though.

Kind of reminds me of when we reacquired Jamie Navarro prior to the 2000 season.
  25. DocLuna7
I agree with this sentiment. Some times it seems (from the outside at least) that Stearns is very reactive when it comes to free agency instead of proactively targeting guys. I could be way off since we have no way of really knowing but that’s what it seems from my perspective
