  1. DM told WSSP that Francisco will play 1B for now. Will post link as soon as I can.
  2. There's bound to be an aging pitcher or hitter we can spend money on to "shore things up"! Isn't Livan Hernandez still available?
  3. For some reason I really believe that the nachos were as well. Not sure if it is the chips, the cheese, or what, but those nachos are County Stadium were memorably awesome.
  4. Oh-oh. For those watching on tv how bad does henderson's injury look?
  5. I think his expectations were a little to high. Maybe Braun's expectations were too high, but I think that you have a point 3 and 2. It's not normal for a star player to be saying these things without it being a sign of something much more serious in the clubhouse. Maybe he is truly just frustrated and let off some steam like he did in Boston in May of 2008. At that point though he was a guy who had been in the league for less than a calendar year, now he is the face of the franchise.
  6. Just heard him saying this on 1250 after the game. He sounds just as frustrated as that looks in print.
  7. ESPN just echoed this earlier report as well. If I was RR I would be leery of any pitcher having elbow issues and coming back after missing one start. It seems prudent to DL him, have him miss a couple of starts instead of rushing him back, and make a corresponding roster move that could be useful over that time.
  8. I won't go so far as to predict it, but I definitely took away a lot of the same thing from his interview today.
  9. This is not necessarily a knock on Lucroy, but it was very frustrating watching how far off the Lucroy/Peralta battery was working today.
  10. One away from Jenkins after today's HR. 41 to Robin.
  11. All we can go by is history when it comes to Mark A, but his handling of Ned Yost tells us that RRR's job security might not be as solid as some think it is.... hopefully Mark cleans house including Melvin and goes for complete change. Doubting that though. I agree with you. I definitely think that the Yost to Sveum move was a MA move rather than Melvin as well. My guess is that Melvin is way to conservative of a GM to have a made that kind of move with twelve games to go in the season unless he got ordered to from ownership.
  12. Attanasio sounded pretty pissed during that in-game spot in the booth last half inning. I have never cheered against the Brewers even during our worst days, but a small part of me is hoping that a complete drubbing when the owner is in town might get the ball rolling on some changes that really need to be made.
  13. It appears that Barton has cleared waivers and been reassigned to AAA with OAK.
  14. Maybe it's just me, but these in-game-threads seem to keep getting sparser and sparser.
  15. On a different note, I love how it has been ten years since that Marlins-Cubs playoff series and that "Bartman" is still a household word (or at least to baseball fans).
