  1. Not sure, I would call the Brewers. Do the times change depending on the day of the week?
  2. Speaking of the Crews/Olin incident, does anyone have any idea what ever happened to Bob Ojeda?
  3. I will not believe that Julio Franco is done until he has sat out at least four years. I think I said he was done over a decade ago. Whoops.
  4. What kind of guys sets up his own GF to get taken to task by a Major Leaguer for a stolen piece of equipment? In any case, I do think that Seitzer would be the ideal guy for a roving minor league instructor. If he can't catch on somewhere else I certainly wouldn't mind having a guy like him back in our system. Wasn't he Cirillo's mentor back when he first came up?
  5. If we could get him I would do it in a second. I am sure that he's in the block as Wash. is going nowhere, and the money is hardly an issue since he is a free agent at the end of the year (unlike Stairs I believe.)
  6. I wonder how long before he tells the press that he can hit better than his players?
  7. Didn't we get him in the Glenn Braggs deal along with the Red-Bearded Bandit Ron Robinson?
  8. I didn't find it in the media guide when I looked for curiosity's sake. Did you have any luck finding the hotel in DC JB?
  9. It seemed like he got hung up waiting to make sure that ball went thru the infield. Definitely wouldn't have risked getting him tossed out at the plate if I were in Nick Leyva's shoes there either; not with Prince coming up with one out.
  10. The baseball purist in me is getting set to jump all over this proposal. I really do oppose the neutral sites part of this, as with the baseball season being as long as it is, and a city supporting the team over the long-haul, that it would be a tremendous disservice to take away meaningful games in October.
  11. How big was that first run scored by D Lee on that ground ball to Prince?
  12. @#%$? Point me to the vent thread.
  13. I wish we were getting him. I still think that he would be a tremendous addition for the cost it would take for us to acquire him.
  14. Can we make the one exception for when Mench swings at the first pitch after an opposing pitcher has walked the previous two hitters?
  15. If anyone has any extra tickets for Saturday I'd be willing to either work out a trade for future Brewers tickets or pay cash for them. Any hints as to where to find a few seats would also be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
  16. As someone pointed out earlier in this thread, Thomas was always huge. As a two sport athlete at Auburn, the guy was part of an intense workout regimen, and IMO, has maintained that physique fairly consistently since he emerged into the Bigs. Take a look at the guy's rookie card from the 1990 Topps set. It shows him playing 1B at Auburn. I honestly don't think you could tell much of a difference in the guy's size between then and now, something that steroids would make virtually impossible. 1st Ballot HOFer in my mind.
  17. I am not sure if MLB itself skews to the right, but I do remember hearing about Al Leiter and ARod donating a lot of money to the GOP during the '04 election. Juan Gonzalez talked about being elected a Republican governor of Puerto Rico, though I can't seem to locate a site to back this up now. George W's political leanings are perhaps a bit better known now then when he was owner of the Rangers, but I am guessing that most people back then knew where he stood. That being said, Peter Angelos was a major contributer to the Clinton campaign and his dislike of W is the reason why Bush hasn't been invited to throw out the first pitch at Camden Yards as many other presidents have when Washington didn't have a team.
  18. I am not sure if there is any major league baseball player who would remind me less of Jimi Hendrix. Yeah, its definitely "All Along the Watchtower" though.
  19. How about just playing Jenkins every day and leaving it at that?
  20. How about the random spin? Its always nice to see what random player from the '80s shows up to provide a bit of entertainment at work.
  21. That slider is looking back to normal tonight. Good news for us.
  22. Yost should get tossed from this ridiculous excuse of a Brewers display.
  23. Cubs are down by a run. Passed ball with Willie Harris on third= run.
  24. Unit I appreciate your optimism, I hope that you are right and this sinking feeling I get whenever I see a Brewers score will go away and soon.
  25. This team is embarassing, and has been for awhile now. Sorry for the negativity, had to get it off my chest.
