I'm not really sure why some people think next year's team is going to suck. It's going to be essentially the same team minus Fielder and with some bullpen tweaks. If they do an adequate job at upgrading 3B/SS there's no reason they can't win this division again next year, or at the very least compete for the wild card.

I can't believe Marcum is starting this game. I love the guy but something just isn't right there. I sure hope they have someone warming up as soon as he puts on a couple of baserunners in the first inning.

If we're going to base the decision on small samples, Greinke has great stats at Busch stadium this year. Leave him alone and let him pitch today. He is not incapable of pitching well on the road. I want Greinke today, Gallardo Game 6, Wolf Game 7. Cut Marcum out of the equation, it's too risky. -

Rickie Weeks looks a lot better this series than he did in the first one. He's slowly coming back to his old self. His outs are hit hard. You don't sit Rickie Weeks right now. -
Greinke is due for a good outing and needs to step up. A win tomorrow would be absolutely incredible.

Also, TBS's production kinda sucks. The music is horrible, a lot of the stats are stupid, and they cut back to the pitch at the last second a lot. i hate that.

My girlfriend is giving Braun a hard time, but I think he has two hits tonight. I mean, i understand what everyone is saying... it's just funny to me that Braun is cold if he only has two singles in a game. Maybe I'm wrong about that, though. I know he has at least one.

BA has done an incredible job of convincing me that he is totally impartial. He even raises his voice when the Cardinals get a big hit. I hate it.

a ton of strikes down the middle taken in this game. Lohse was throwing an easy fastball down the middle for the first few innings before anyone thought to start swinging early. i admire their effort to be patient for a change, but once the pitcher knows he has an easy way of getting ahead, some of the guys should be switching things up and swinging on that first pitch.

I would've hit Gomez in Morgan's spot last time the Crew were up. You at least force them to burn through a lefty or you get Gomez vs. a lefty. You need Gomez in CF late in the game anyway... and I don't think Holliday would've tagged up just now and ran to third if Gomez made that catch and throw.

Hairston is the MVP of the playoffs thus far. I feel sick about a lefty pitcher and Kottares/Wolf up next. Ugh. Please surprise me, please!

I'm actually looking for a used car now too, so I'm glad this thread came up. My goal is to avoid a car payment for at least a couple of years, so I'm looking for an older car in the $5000ish range. I've been checking Craigslist and Autotrader... autotrader definitely seems to have more newer used cars than older/cheap used cars... but I can go carless for a short time if need be. I am going to avoid a dealer if possible.

I am realistic and know that Green isn't going to play much, but I thought they'd at least throw him a couple of AB's in the pitcher's spot by now. Ah well. He's getting paid to watch the playoffs with the best seat in the house.

Yep, that lineup looks great other than Betancourt, of course. Hairston made it pretty much impossible to bench him after the series he's had.

I was able to get 2 for game 2 and 2 for game 3. one of them is in bernie's terrace. those are seats, right? I've never sat over there before. the other tix were for terrace reserved, but not too far from home plate. i'm happy.
