  1. I don't have much of a collection, so I'd be looking to buy. PM sent.
  2. Good topic... I've thought about making the switch myself. My facial hair is thin and patchy too... but I really like how close I can shave with my Gillette Fusion Power (the orange one that uses a AAA battery to make it vibrate). I only shave twice a week... and I'd say I use a new blade every month or so. By the end of the month it just starts to feel like I'm tugging at the hair a bit and I have to change the blade. I only have to buy a 4-pack of blades about 3 times a year... but it kills me every time to fork out that much dough for it. One small tip that you may already know. To make your blades last long, dry them off with a towel after use and keep them in a dry place. It increases their life by at least a couple weeks. Also, if you really want to make them last, blow-dry them with a hair dryer after use.
  3. That's nice to hear. I was at a bar last night and saw the game on, and I thought the bar just had a really bad television. I watch 100 Brewer games a year, but if it's on WMLW I always look around for ANYTHING else to watch instead. It's truly terrible, especially once you see the games in HD.
  4. Hey guys, I'm looking for a Rick Vaughn bobble if anyone still has one. Please email me at thesaltshakersband@yahoo.com if you are willing to part with one!
  5. I was three rows behind the dugout tonight, and Bush was definitely suited up and in the dugout. Never sat that close before, it sure was nice. Great game, but we were beat by the end. 4+ hours is just too much.
  6. Section 415, Row 9. Will take $10 for the pair. Would also take the Rick Vaughn bobblehead I've been looking for in trade. Please email me at chadmcurtis@yahoo.com if you're interested, I'm not good about checking my PMs. Thanks!
  7. I agree, I've had a Corolla in the past and drive a Civic now. They're both very reliable cars.
  8. I really hope that Fielder and a couple prospects that we don't need next year is enough to get 2 of these guys. I'm really going to be upset if we go with 4 of the 5 guys we have now. We definitely need at LEAST 2 new guys in the rotation to go with Wolf and Gallardo. 3 would be even better.
  9. I don't mind Hoffman closing out some games, either. Especially because Axford is a rookie and this really isn't going to screw him over in any way. It's not like he's close to free agency and having 5 less saves is going to make his numbers look bad and therefore he won't get as good of a contract. He's got time to rack up numbers.
  10. If he would want to play in Milwaukee (I have no idea if he has a no-trade clause or not), Greinke is exactly the type of guy the Brewers should be targeting this offseason. We can afford to trade for a pitcher or two that makes a higher salary this next year or two.
  11. I don't know anything about Happ but I looked at his numbers... Happ pitched 160+ innings last year with an ERA under 3. He's also younger and cheaper than Oswalt. I don't get it at all.
  12. Turner Hall is a great venue, you'll enjoy it. My band played it once and I hope to do it again. The people in charge of booking Turner/Pabst/Riverside are really improving the live music experience in Milwaukee.
  13. If you have an disciplined hitter, I would agree that protection doesn't really matter. Too bad Braun isn't even half the disciplined hitter Pujols is.
  14. Why is Lucroy hitting 8th in this weak lineup? I find it odd that he's hitting after both Inglett AND Gomez.
  15. I'm by no means an expert when it comes to this stuff - so hopefully some other people can back me up or tell me I'm wrong about this, but yes - short-term at least - closing an account will hurt your score at least a little bit because the score is based on amount of credit you have available to you at any given time vs. the balance you carry on that credit. So an example of someone with excellent credit would be someone with $8000 worth of credit but not carrying a balance at all. If that person was to close a card/account of theirs with a $2000 credit limit they would then have $6000 credit available to them and no balance at all... but their previous situation would reflect a better credit score. I have very good credit and have closed off multiple accounts that I never really used... and I still have a very high score... so I'm going to guess that over time you recover from that hit you take by closing a card. Unless you plan to buy a house in the next few months or some other type of situation where you need as high of a score as possible... don't keep that card open and start paying an annual fee just because you're afraid of a dip in your score. If you're really that worried, open a different account like you said and that should balance it out.
  16. Saturday August 7th: Brewers vs. Astros Section 413, Row 8. 2 Tickets, will sell the pair for $20. It'd be more convenient for me to sell these tickets, but if I can't get $20/pair I'd rather just attend the games. Email me at thesaltshakersband@yahoo.com if you're interested. Thanks!
  17. I agree on the McDonald's and Arby's Sauce sentiments. Let me add that Wendy's BBQ sauce is my favorite of all 3 of them. Sweet Baby Ray's "Sweet & Spicy" is probably my favorite that you can buy at the store. I've been having trouble finding it lately, maybe they renamed it?
  18. Aren't all pitchers that we sign coming off contract years?
  19. The Arcade Fire played Mad Planet on November 24, 2004 and it was the greatest show I've ever seen. I saw them again at Lollapalooza either in 2004 or 2005 and them and the Pixies were the highlights of the festival. Don't miss them!
  20. The real question is why hold back a sneeze? It feels good to sneeze. Let it fly, man.

  22. I would guess - barring injury - he could get a 3-4 year deal at 6 mil per year if he went to free agency.
  23. "I'm way too good to ever go through a stretch like this" That was by far my favorite Ryan Braun quote of the year. Made me laugh out loud.
  24. Seems like the Mariners just got quite a haul. Great move for them - they weren't going to do anything this year anyway. The Rangers REALLY wanted Lee, I guess.
  25. Manny Parra still can't pitch more than 6 innings. Ever. I'm not counting on him to ever be more than a 4/5 at this point... but I'd like to give him the shot to try for the rest of this season since it doesn't matter anymore. But if we needed to combine him with Hart to secure Bumgarner or another top pitching prospect - I'd do it in a heartbeat.
