Don't like it at all. Completely unnecessary. The Brewers had arguably the most team-friendly contract in baseball and had to go and ruin it with a huge added risk. They should've just waited another couple of years before even thinking about this. Something could happen and the Brewers could be paying 1/5 of their payroll to a guy that isn't producing for years and years and years.

also, in retrospect it was a no-brainer to send McGehee home with Kinsler coming to the plate and two outs. Kinsler wouldn't have a chance, might as well try to tack one more on.

Wow, quite a ride this past 4 hours. Kinsler looked great, keeping the ball down. Axford looked awful, Braun's throw was one of the stupidest things he's ever done, and Betancourt's error is one of the worst I've seen. That's shortstop 101 right there - get in front of the ball.

Lucroy is gonna have a good year... But what's it gonna take to get Gomez out of the two spot? I like Gomez (for his defense) and even I can't believe he is still hitting second.

I'm pretty sure Prince has been hitting the crap out of lefties this season so far, but yes we have a tall order ahead of us. Prince and Braun can only carry this offense for so long.

I agree. Most fans overreact way too quickly. I'm very confident Wolf is going to end up with a 4-4.25 ERA just like he usually does and I'm okay with that.

aren't there only 10-15 games on WMLW all year? why does it seem like half of the games so far this year have been on WMLW?

Lucroy hit all the way through his minor league career (with some power) and was rushed to the majors - where he struggled offensively last season. He focused on his D (as he should have) and his offense wasn't there. He's said in multiple interviews that he was disappointed in his offense last season and is capable of much more. If you look at his minor league numbers, you will remember that he came up as a hitter that wasn't definitely going to stay a catcher. He is just 24 years old. I could definitely see him getting on base at a .350 clip and hitting 15 homers a year in the next year or two. Hopefully his recent injury doesn't delay his offensive progress, but I'm pretty confident he will make a leap offensively this year. There is no question that he will be starting most of the games behind the plate if healthy.

I have a bunch of extra magnets, but they aren't exactly like the ones from Opening Day. I don't remember where I got them from - they look nice but they have a white background while I believe the Opening Day magnet has a blue background. I'll upload a photo if there's interest. I also have no idea what a fair price is for one of these... would anyone trade any spare bobbleheads for one or is that asking too much? Let me know at thesaltshakersband@yahoo.com. Thanks!

It has been two games. Relax. Suppan and Wolf aren't even close. Wolf will stay in the rotation because he is superior to anyone not named Yo, ZG, or Marcum. He is an excellent 4/5 pitcher. Agreed, chill out. This thread is ridiculous. Bad start, but Wolf will be fine.

I was at the game too but left at the top of the 9th. The crowd was very lame all night - didn't seem like the few people that were there were very interested in the game. The annoying guys a row behind me were much more into collecting dollars for a sausage race pool. I wish Rage would've won, maybe it'll get used later. Good game, but from my viewpoint we were gifted that Prince Fielder run - he looked extremely out to me... even though I was way up in the Terrace Box.

Thanks guys. I'm attending my first game tomorrow night so I'm interested in who it will be. Honestly I'm not very excited with either option but I am excited to get back to Miller Park and see that scoreboard. And I have a $25 concession voucher to redeem. Sausage cycle anyone?

I wish the Brewers hadn't changed their website. I can no longer find a "future starting pitcher matchup" area anywhere. BA made it sound like it was going to be Mitre due to the fact that the bullpen wasn't needed tonight but that's not a sure thing, obviously.

Still blurry, but not as dark as usual. Although tonight it looks like there is a thick layer of fog across the field... which I'm pretty sure is only seen by WMLW viewers.

I agree with all three of those ideas, Monty. Gomez in CF and Morgan in RF most of the time til Hart gets back, then have Morgan and Gomez split time in CF. Gomez needs to be batting 8th or 9th, and Nieves is absolutely worthless offensively. -

I too believe the Royals asked that the Brewers take Betancourt along with Greinke or it was no deal. Melvin's quote means nothing. There's no way anyone would publicly admit it if it was true. It's unprofessional and/or "mean".
