  1. When Witrado was around, I used to think that Haudricourt was okay. I guess that was just because Witrado was so so terrible. I listened to a couple of podcasts with Haudricourt today and man is he annoying. I understood why they call him "the prince of darkness" right away. Would it be so bad to have a Brewer reporter with some optimism for a change?
  2. I had a very happy reaction to reading the Wainright post, and because of that the baseball gods punished me by breaking JonLuc's finger http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif
  3. I don't think it'd be very fun for him to "compete" in a league like that where his ERA is 0 and he wins every single game.
  4. I'm with Zack. People are annoying, athletes give the same boring canned interviews all the time, I find this all very refreshing. I don't think he hates being a pro athlete, he's just not going to pretend that it's all perfect. I'm sure autograph seekers are annoying a lot of the time. I look forward to a lot more refreshing honesty from him the next two years. As long as he pitches well, he can say anything he wants as long as he really believes it.
  5. Wow, what an incredible trailer for Dead Island. Never head anything about this game but I've been loving RDR: Undead Nightmare. Just got a PS3 a couple months ago. I'm now very much looking forward to Dead Island. You'd think a trailer that good would produce a good game, but who knows. Anyone know more about the game?
  6. MLB The Show 2011 comes out in two weeks! I'm a casual gamer and bought a Playstation 3 this past winter JUST to be able to play The Show. I've been killing zombies in Red Dead Redemption: Undead Nightmare for now, but I'm looking forward to this game very much! I hope that the new control system is an improvement.
  7. It is a mother & daughter. I was wondering why that is myself.
  8. i usually like the office, and i've thought this season started out very strong - but i didn't love the michael movie episode either. i thought it was one of the duds of this season so far. i'm with you on Community - that show really hit its stride late in season 1. they're very willing to try different things and most of the time it works. funny characters, too.
  9. I would love for it to be 4 yr/$32 mil, but I am going to guess 4/40 with plate appearances incentives making it possible for him to make 48 over that span.
  10. Uggla is getting about 12 mil per year over his contract. I think Weeks will get a 4 year deal with less of a base pay, but with incentives that would make it possible for him to make about 12 mil per year. I don't think he deserves a 5 year deal because of the fact that he's only had one good full season so far. 3 or 4 years at 10-ish million per year sounds fair to me.
  11. The Beer Vendor IS the worst bobble ever. It is so stupid looking. Ugh.
  12. Wow, that was a disappointing list. Another Beer Vender - the stupidest looking bobblehead ever? I can get behind all the player bobbles... but the rest are bad. And I'm shocked Gallardo wasn't included in there.
  13. http://twitter.com/CardsI...status/33616396474654720 Surprising. He's the enemy again. Edit: aaaaand now he's retired http://www.stltoday.com/s...0-9989-0017a4a78c22.html
  14. I loved it
  15. I am resurrecting this thread to ask... anyone know a way for me to watch Sportsnation online? I have a Michelle Beadle addiction and only have basic cable for the next couple of months.
  16. I'm glad we didn't get him. I know I'm probably in the minority here, but I actually think Wolf will outperform Pavano this coming season.
  17. Maybe this is the most obvious statement of the year, but boy is it embarassing that we paid this guy $12 million last year and he can't even find a major league deal the next season. Ugh.
  18. I sure wouldn't mind mowwing down a bunch of free Brewer-food this summer.
  19. http://product.images.fansedge.com/33-36/33-36534-F.jpg Something like this. Old logo, full size pennant.
  20. Preferably the ball & glove/retro logo. Anyone have one they're willing to sell or suggest a place to buy one? I see a decent wool one for about $30 total including shipping... just wondering if I may be able to find one cheaper.
  21. Fielder's interview was horrible, Lucroy's was awesome. Thanks for posting them!
  22. I'd prefer to have him play awhile in AAA at 1st base and see if he can handle it, then move him up. The only way I'd want him on the Brewers this year is if he's used as much as reillymcshane suggested and got semi-regular AB's.
  23. Yeah, I knew Greinke was added. I just don't remember reading how many bobbles there are supposed to be this year. I *think* 6 and then they added Greinke but I'm not sure.
  24. 1. Gallardo 2. Counsell 3. McGehee 4. Wolf 5. Axford 6. Marcum And Greinke if there's going to be 7. I'm pretty confident in all of my predictions except Marcum. He may have to wait until next year.
  25. I wish there was a BrewerFan event in which I could challenge all of you fellow frozen-dessert eaters. Maybe someday.
