  1. Anybody hear if they are running a State Fair Park shuttle like they did in 2008? I assume the city buses will be running as well. I'm just trying to avoid the crazy parking prices.
  2. Preferred Parking is always a mess to get out of because the Miller Park interchange was the most poorly designed interchange in the history of engineering. It slows down traffic everyday after work and after games that area is a mess. That's why I stick with the General Admission lot and then take Canal St. to exit.
  3. When Saito and Hawkins were fresh, bringning in Estrada was very questionable. I can see trying to give KRod and Axford some rest but going to the worst pitcher in your bullpen in a one run game... simply inexplicable.
  4. I completely agree. If you can rationalize Greinke's home/road splits for this reason, why not implement that strategy? His Social Anxiety is a known issue which can be worked around.
  5. I have a 20 pack in the Club Infield and we got moved to the Club Outfield (Section 313) for the playoffs. For our 2 tickets, it could cost $2600 if they make the World Series and play all the games. This could be an expensive postseason, but worth every penny.
  6. Here's a nice write up on Caleb Gindl for those who are interested. Enjoy. http://www.minorleaguebal...ndl-of-milwaukee-brewers
  7. I wonder how long the 25 game suspension will carry into next season. This could end up being a blessing in disguise because it gives us more time to see what we have in Rogers and I believe we are allowed to give him some rehab starts in the minor leagues after his suspension is over. All of the talk about him being a loser is shameful. People make mistakes and he was in a very competitive environment having a tough season. Hopefully he gets back on track and has some value next season.
  8. Right, but managers tend to make decisions based on past performance so I'm sure that Kotsay will be our #1 bat off the bench in high leverage situations going forward until he proves otherwise.
  9. I would use Gamel over Kotsay in high leverage situations after he gets called up, but I just don't think that's going to happen because of Roenicke's love for gritty veterans. I see where you are coming from, Russ, and I would rather have a better overall hitter, but at least Kotsay has come up big a few times this year despite his lack of ability.
  10. I think I'm starting to buy into Kotsay's value on our team. He's not a good hitter anymore and has very little power, but his ability to put together a good AB with good pitch recognition and contact hitting makes him a good pinch hit option late in games with runners on base. He's almost like Counsell was a couple years ago where he won't put up big numbers, but he's used in crucial situations to put together a professional AB. What do you guys think?
  11. Since Rogers is out of options after this year, we are either going to have to stash him in our bullpen next year or DFA him. Here's to hoping he has a heck of a Spring Training.
  12. TH just tweeted that we could see both pitch in the AFL per Melvin.
  13. Will the Brewers even bother with Jungmann and Bradley this year? It's pretty much a lost cause at this point. Hopefully one of them starts next year at AA and gets fast tracked.
  14. Jimmy Nelson is @Jimmy_J_Nelson. That's about all I have.
  15. Once a clown. Always a clown.
  16. Could Peralta be a September Call up after his recent Nashville promotion?
  17. Has any of the 20 pack holders gotten any information about Playoff tickets. I would think they should be sending some stuff out for deposits sometime soon.
  18. They might not sign until just before midnight on the deadline as well. Regardless, there's a 99% chance that they both sign. The Brewers will overpay if they have to. They are desperate for prospects. Last year was a freak thing with Covey getting diabetes during the 11th hour and there wasn't much the Brewers could do to get him in our system. It turns out as a blessing because I don't think Covey pitched very well in college this year.
  19. Anything can happen in a short series so I really don't care who we play. When we get there, it's a crap shoot where the team that gets good pitching and timely hitting ends up winning the World Series.
  20. I second that. Rillo actually has a decent sense of humor and Rock's cliches are getting old. Let's bring in some new blood!
  21. Yeah his fastball had good life on it. He seemed to throw a ton of fastballs not going to his offspeed stuff very often. He rarely got into a deep count with the hitters because he attacked the strike zone so much. He won't get away with that at the higher levels though. It looked like he had a slider and a changeup has his secondary pitches, but neither seemed like plus pitches. Hopefully he can develop them a little better or we aren't looking at much of a prospect here.
  22. I went to the Rattlers game at Miller Park last night, and I tweeted Toby before the game and he asked for scouting reports on Brooks Hall and Joseph Paciorek. Unfortunately Paciorek didn't play so I don't have anything on him, but I did get a chance to get a feel for Brooks Hall, and let me tell you that I wasn't impressed. He had a lot of trouble missing bats and ended up pitching to contact the whole game. That's ok if you are getting ground balls and weakly hit fly balls, but there were a lot of loud, long outs in the game. Several fly balls made the warning track. If he serves up the pitches he did last night to AA or more advanced hitters, he would have gotten shelled. The good news is that he did touch 93 mph on a few of his fastballs, but he mostly sat in the 89-90 range. He got nailed by a come backer to the pitcher in the 6th inning, but he seemed ok after the trainer came out. He got the next better out, and then was taken out of the game for a reliever so hopefully he wasn't severely injured. One thing last night I was impressed with was the power of Greg Hopkins. I don't see him on the current Power 50 so I'm not sure what kind of a prospect he is, but he looks decent. They had him batting cleanup last night, so he must have some potential. Another note from last night was that Walker looks like a really good hitter, but his defense at 3B was really shotty. He didn't have any errors, but he missed a few plays that good 3B would have made. He definitely has some work to do if he wants to stick at 3B. If you guys want to know how anyone else looked, let me know and I'll try and give you my synopsis.
  23. The latest comments from Ash make it sound like this was another lost season for Rogers. With Rogers out of options after this year he either has to make the 25 man roster out of Spring Training next year or he's gone. I hope the Brewers just call it quits on the season and get him the surgery and possibly pitch him in the AFL. Then if he pitches well in Spring Training, start him in the bullpen perhaps as the long man or if he does well, let him pitch in the later innings. That is about the only path he has to be a Milwaukee Brewer because there aren't any spots that look open in the 5 man rotation barring injury. Looks like another 1st round pitching failure for Jack Z.
  24. Taylor Green hit a long home run during the Futures game at Miller Park a few months ago. I enjoyed watching him that game, and would love to see him at least in a platoon for the Brewers.
