  1. That's better than 1 in 70! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif
  2. Wasn't Braun trying to make sure he didn't get doubled up at 1B on a caught fly ball? Ellsbury and Crisp could've ran in the Big Ten Championship track meet this weekend so them running down any ball isn't a surprise. On a side note, I was disappointed to see the Badgers take 2nd.
  3. Yes. I agree because you are giving up outs for runs, but it sure pays dividends in late in games and helps your team do better than it's win potential hence my Minnesota Twins comment.
  4. That pretty much sums it up in a nutshell. It's the Bermuda Triangle of Weeks.
  5. The comment was made because you can score runs by playing small ball. The Twins are scoring 4.25 runs per game, not 2.
  6. Weeks did hit the freaking ball today. It was a frozen rope to the defense like usual.
  7. He doesn't. But Melvin seems to be sticking with Gwynn right now. That would probably be the biggest benefit to calling up Branyan.
  8. So could you make some of those plays?
  9. 8-4 isn't a rediculous possiblily. Anyone have the odds of this happening? Usually Rluz is good at that stuff. Anything, Rluz?
  10. I'll renew. I enjoy baseball. There is other game like it. Except maybe cricket. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif
  11. The Twins play a ton of small ball and have very little power on that team and I think they score more than 2 runs a game.
  12. That would be a long bus ride. It's only a 2 hour flight. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  13. Whoa. Whoa. Baby steps here. Baby steps.
  14. I wouldn't agree with that. He's slightly below average because of his ability to make the great play.
  15. I'd definitely be open to Kendall leading off. He led off a bit back in Pittsburgh. Then we can get rid of this Pitcher batting 8th crap.
  16. Yeah that's just great, but what do we do when Bill Hall's bat catches fire like it usually does at some point and Branyan starts racking up the K's? Now we have to try and get him through waivers again and we just wasted a major league contract on him. If Bill Hall wouldn't be such a frustrating player, we wouldn't be this desperate right now. He's streakier than Will Ferrel in Old School.
  17. His glove isn't what's costing us right now. It's his bat.
  18. Weeks just needs to worry about hitting like Ian Kinsler. He'll never be close to Ryan Braun. That glimmer of hope seems to be over.
  19. Why are we all excited for Branyan to come up and bat .220 with 10 home runs the rest of the year? He should be hitting well in AAA for darn sake. If Branyan isn't your classic AAAA player then who is?
  20. His glove has gotten a little better every year. I'm not too bothered by that. His hitting is what bothers me because that's where he's supposed to be good.
  21. I think it's safe to say Cameron is not working out in the 2 spot and JJ Hardy is just a better hitter at #2. We need this lineup, and we need it now: Hart Hardy Braun Prince Cameron Weeks Hall Pitcher Kendall
  22. Weeks would fit so well in the 6 spot because he could swing away a little more. The problem is we have nobody who can lead off besides Weeks and Hart. Hart is doing well in the 5th spot and he's producing in RBI opportunities so I am hesistant to move Hart to leadoff, but hey, I'm open to anything right now the way things are going.
  23. When we play the Twins, the DH gap will be much less because they refuse to pay a DH. Never have and never will. They like Craig Monroe as their DH except when Joe Mauer needs a rest from catcher.
  24. Well I have never seen Nelson play OF so I can't add anything to the discussion of him being able to play there or not, but Nelson's best shot as a Brewer is a power bat off the bench and we could use that right now. He could be the equivalent to Daryle Ward of the Cubs.
  25. I think you pretty much echoed my feelings of Hart in CF as not a long term solution and that LaPorta should go back to 1B. So I pretty much agree with you.
