  1. Unfortunately, with Harang on the mound, runs are going to be at a premium tomorrow and if we're gonna win, it's gonna have to be Gagne slamming the door again.
  2. Escobar is definitely MLB ready and would probably be better than Hardy right now at SS the way he is hitting right now. Escobar is definitely better defensively and if Hardy is not hitting for power that makes him better offensively as well.
  3. I see the validity of your argument but we hardly have 5 good pitchers none the less 6. If a pitcher isn't ready to pitch every 5 days then they shouldn't be in a big league rotation. How did the rotations start going from 3 to 4 and then 4 to 5?

  6. I should change my name to "FridaysWithRillo" http://images.yuku.com/image/jpeg/9df2535960897304619dfa0a7e480dd88623ce9.jpg
  7. I'll be there if I survive my transatlantic flight.
  8. Come on now. Shouse has been getting outs and it was the best matchup. Hindsight is always 20/20.

  10. I wonder how drunk ewiz is right now. She was feeling pretty good when I left. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/laugh.gif

  12. Yeah it should help, but starters going 5 innings a game isn't going to cut it.
  13. This has DL written all over it. If he was sore all week and tried to pitch through it and was still sore, he's going to need 15 days of rest. Get him the rest and get him back on the roster by Mid May instead of for the rest of the season.
  14. There's usually a good amount of parking on Jefferson St which is 1 block to the East, but otherwise there are structures all around the area or other streets that you can parallel park on.
  15. I wish we wouldn't have had to bring him in tonight, but he came in and got the save. Our bullpen is getting burned up by the game. It's going to melt down in July again if our starters can't go deep into games. On the bright side, we still haven't used our pen as much as the Cubs so far.
  16. It was a good time tonight at Zims. We didn't get a huge crowd, but we had a good amount of BF.net people there to watch the game. I could even swear without getting booted from the bar! LET'S DO IT AGAIN!!!
  17. How much more consistent could his fastball be? He's been around 94 in every outing and he's located it just fine. I think you're being a bit critical in your analysis. Most other closers in baseball have the same issues you stated above.
  18. You think the Rays would rather pay him $500,000 per year for 3 years and then pay him 10 million a year or more in arbitration for the next 3 years after that? Smart move by the Rays.
  19. I'd say now would be a great time to send Parra down because he hasn't been able to go deep into games very well this year. Send him down to AAA to work on his pitches and limit his innings and have Yo take his place and pray to God that Bush can be a high 4 ERA pitcher.
  20. And just when you thought things couldn't get even more complicated, McClung has a great outing in long relief and makes a strong case to stay on the roster. To be continued....
  21. I wonder if this new experiment by Sheets will end up like his last experiment with the Cut Fastball. He tried adding that pitch and then he struggled for a few starts and said he wanted to get back to being the pitcher he was: a fastball/curveball pitcher. Don't be surprised if Sheets struggles at some point this year he abandons the changeup and goes back to his bread and butter.
  22. Today, his fastball was consistently 94-95 mph. He started out shaky but got the job done for another save. Now the Brewers just have to give him a few more opportunities.
