  1. Isn't sarcasm supposed to be in blue?
  2. That's being a quality fan right there. Him being out of the league means he's playing bad and not helping the Brewers. Muy mal.
  3. Yeah it's kinda sad because he has good speed, just poor judgment sometimes on the bases.
  4. Olney has must have never seen Carlos Gomez play.
  5. I wonder if Kerry Wood talked to reporters after the game. I'd still rather have Gagne than Wood.
  6. That's your job. You're the expert.
  7. Sure. It's ok if you use them. They are very interesting. I enjoy it when you put them out so we have something to debate about. I might question them once in a while, but go ahead. I think our views on Gwynn are pretty similar. It's just a matter if you value his defense over Gross's offense.
  8. He has made a few mistakes on the basepath in his years, but he did lead the Brewers in doubles last year if I remember correctly. A high percentage of his hits go for extra bases. I have no problem with Bill Hall as our starting 3rd basemen this year overall. I also have no problem with Gwynn as our starting CF until Cameron is gone. I do have a problem with Gross in CF, though, with his poor range out there. Yes, he gives you the chance for the long ball, but I'll take the defense and situational hitting of Gwynn in the month of April. Let Gross do his job as a lefty bat off the bench. I'm wondering if Bill Hall can provide above average defense at 3B. Having a former SS at 3B leads me to believe so.
  9. That's interesting because it seemed like Lee saved 1 or 2 yesterday, although, I don't know the grounds of the study. Maybe the plays Lee made were considered routine.
  10. The Brewers had to cover for him a bit here because I think it's league policy to talk to reporters after the game. They claimed that nobody approached him fast enough before he left.
  11. I didn't say they were always right. I do think that they can project better than people on message boards though.
  12. I actually did. I'm just questioning your projections. I trust Brewer scouts and management on who should be playing in CF because they can project with more than past performance.
  13. Nothing? Absolutely Nothing? Then why play the game?
  14. That's the biggest flaw in your projections. We always talk about not having a large enough sample. Well let Gwynn get his sample in the Big Leagues and we'll see. There really is nothing to argue about here after the month of April because Cameron will be back. It would be nice to get something good in return for Gwynn in a trade so some other team's message board can argue about him.
  15. So when Hall has an average year in 2007 and 2 way above average years in 2006 and 2005, you think he's not above average overall because of one year? Hmmmm.
  16. I don't take it personally. It's just fun to poke fun of you about Gwynn because you get so mad about it. One game doesn't make Gwynn a better option than Gross in CF. But in my opinion he's the right guy to play CF when Cameron is suspended against RHP.
  17. He could start for Nashville. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif
  18. I will be "working" from home. I love having a company laptop.
  19. Lilly can actually strike people out, I'd take him any day over Suppan. Hopefully Suppan has a great BABIP this year.
  20. Yes. http://blogs.jsonline.com/brewers/archive/2008/03/30/no-surprises-in-final-cuts.aspx
  21. Average is good enough for 7 million dollars? What has this world come to? I wish I could be average for 7 million dollars. How about that other 35 milliion dollars he's going to make while aging even further with the Brewers in the next 3 seasons?
  22. I was going to take the day off, but if it rains, I'm going into the office.
  23. The chances are better, yes, but the pitcher is still going to try to locate his pitch to get the batter out. He might get a few more fastballs as previously said, but it's not as big of a thing as people like to think.
  24. Darn. I thought I could antagonize you for being a Gopher fan, but that didn't work. Carry on.
  25. Cool! Cubfan, feel as welcome as possible to this site. We would love to have you here for the 2008 season. Just be aware that the Brewers are going to win the NL Central. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
