  1. He's basically had the same stuff in all of his appearances so far. It's just come down to execution and a little bit of bad luck. I don't think Gagne will lose his job as closer this year at any point.
  2. So should we classify this start by Sheets as having his "Average" stuff?
  3. I think I started this thread in frustration of losing to that garbage pitcher last night.
  4. That's what makes Ben Sheets such a great pitcher. He doesn't need his "A" stuff to mow down hitters.
  5. Yeah, that's true, so it must just be that we've gotten good pitching on our end when facing good opposing pitchers.
  6. I'll take Rickie Weeks on my team. You can have Calix Crabbe.
  7. The Brewers have won games where Zambrano, Cueto, and Santana have pitched this year. I don't have any numbers on this, but it seems like the Brewers hit very well against good pitchers. We did lose to Harang, but he's a pitcher that seems to own us. Any theories on why this is?
  8. I am going to forget this game was ever played.
  9. What did we ever do to the Mets? Sheesh.
  10. So what does that all mean in English? Is it good to have Kendall as 9th?
  11. I hope he gets back in the game tonight and redeems himself.
  12. Talk about a hot bat right now. Keep it going, Jason!
  13. The way that Cueto was pitching makes me feel very lucky that we got a win tonight.
  14. Well put, Rluz. The team is winning without great production from Prince in the power department and that is very encouraging. I really don't care what he eats as long as it's not poisonous.
  15. When you make as much money as baseball players do in today's age, leaving a team for a couple more million doesn't seem to outweigh the value of being on a playoff team, but maybe that's just me. I hope Coco's arm falls off this series so I can laugh at him and the Reds.
  16. Yes it does because it shows that he can recover to have a great year yet very easily. Especially with 155 games to go.
  17. Not so pissed anymore.
  18. I'm still ok with Gagne yet. He got the first 2 outs and the Patterson home run was as cheap as they get. At least he was going after hitters and not walking everyone like Mota. Gagne is fine. Just some bad luck so far.
  19. I wonder how much the LASIK surgery is going to help Kendall. It's a lot easier to hit when you can see the ball.
  20. I hope he gets booed. He just went and took Cincy's offer without giving Melvin a chance to match it. I'm glad we didn't because that was too much money for an average closer.
  21. I thought Yost could have put Turnbow in to do some mopping up in yesterday's game but how can you take Sheets out in front of 44,000 fans going for a complete game shut out? Plus, he was on 5 days rest so he had a little more in the tank. I love games when the bullpen gets the day off.
  22. Hall is one of the best bargains on our team not counting the players who haven't reached arbitration yet.
  23. I think it is helpful that Parra is getting 5 days rest between starts. I'm sure they'll skip his start a few times in June/July to keep his innings down and get Sheets and Gallardo on 4 days rest in that time frame.
