  1. That, and more teams feel they can make a playoff push, so they were reluctant to make trades. IMO.
  2. Gonzalez and badenhop come to mind. The problem is, until very recently, Yuni wasn't being used as a utility man. I was just showing you that bad stretches happen for everyone. Even Yuni.
  3. Horrible in his last 9 games, and I am not saying his is the best arm in the pen, but arent you the guy who has been defending Yuni? In June, Yuni went 19-100 and had 4 walks with(since I know you care about this particular stat so much) 2 homeruns. Even the best players have a bad stretch.
  4. Well said.
  5. I believe managers who manage based purely on hot streaks are not good at their job. Yuni does have some value in that he can play many positions. However, bein able to pop a home run once every 25 at bats should not get you playing time in a lost season. In fact, if he was purely a bench guy you wouldn't even have his home run numbers to fall back on. He has minimal value on the field. He must be an awesome clubhouse guy.
  6. I guess I fail to see how the stats don't show the Yuni is one of the worst players I the majors. Has nothing to do with being a nerd.
  7. Look out. Love or even mild respect for Betancourt is outlawed around these parts. Regardless, expect Melvin to have Yuni on the bench next year at a cheap price. Its hard to take anything you say seriously because I cannot believe you actually think Yuni is a solid choice for this team, or any team for that matter.
  8. You failed to acknowledge his scoreless month of June. Does he live up to your expectations? Guess not. Worthless however, incorrect. I am happy Yuni was able to raise that OBP and OPS today!
  9. Well...that is simply...wait for it.......not true. 4 earned runs in July in 12 or so appearances, and 0 in June. Is the axford hate fully deserved? That's what a quick search yielded anyways.
  10. Yes, I am knocking it and yes, I know a lot about it. The son of a very good friend of mine is training to be a MMA fighter at Tito Ortiz's training school in Huntington Beach. Not knocking the fighters - they train very hard and they are definitely athletes. But any activity where the goal is to beat the crap out of another human being, to me, is not a sport. Any activity where participants are allowed to take PEDs and then attempt to beat the crap out of another human being is something I have a lot of issues with. Just my opinion. That, and I lived in Southern California for seven years and can do without the whole Affliction culture. Guess I was wrong. Sorry mate.
  11. I read what he wrote. He very clearly knocks it. I guess we can disagree there. I personally have no issues with athletes in any sport trying to stay strong and be at peak performance. ----------- Continued in this topic: Braun Suspended for Remainder of 2013 Season: Aaron Rodgers' Reaction
  12. Please read what he wrote. Nowhere does he knock Mma, he clearly states his opinion why he doesn't watch it.
  13. Whew...glad that's settled. I was waiting for someone with the facts to enlighten us all.
  14. I wonder if anyone would take Braun... Good return for krod
  15. Spiced rum and pineapple...sounds odd, but give it a shot and you won't be disappointed.
  16. That's how I teach it to my third graders. Take out the other person and decide if you would say me or I.
  17. Its almost like ESPN doesn't even do any fact checking. Steven A Smith just talked about Braun having 9 homeruns and 30ish rbi...then said maybe the production is down because he's clean now. I guess it has nothing to do with him being hurt for a month...this is just silly.
  18. Funny you mention cardinals...Molina made a few bets through me, I wrote it down on a random notebook.(not really, but this os ridiculous if this is all they have)
  19. Most players know that there is a point of no return, and Logan clearly was past it, and probably should have known it. I'm not putting down Shaeffer too much, but I'm certainly not praising him for a play like that with 2 outs either, especially when he was almost picked off at 3rd earlier. I'll give you the play at third as he MAY have missed the sign, but the rundown had nothing to do with him knowing or not knowing how far to run. Sedar was way to far down the line and he as a coach should have known not to throw up a stop sign.
  20. Just because no one else does, that doesn't mean a young guy who has to show he can listen and work hard shouldn't. Also, I'm certain anyone running there would have stopped the second they look up and see the coaches hands up. The fact you are trying to put down Logan for that play is absurd.
  21. K rod has been a pleasant surprise. Except I'd like for them to lose a bit more often.
  22. Are you watching the game? Sedar stopped him. I realized that, and changed my comment. I hate players who pay attention to Sedar. Why in the hell would you tell a player to stop when a ball is cut off? A young player who doesn't follow a coaches order may not see much of the field.
  23. For those that are wondering, they showed the replay and Sedar stopped Logan about 50 feet down the line tagging to home. THe ball got cutoff and LS was just standing there.
