  1. Speaking of the last decade. Gio Gonzalez: 31.9 fWAR, 32.3 bWAR in 1,768.2 IP Madison Bumgarner: 31.3 fWAR, 32.2 bWAR in 1,836.0 IP
  2. Some guy posted this on twitter. No idea if true, but if so, I thought it was interesting. Players with more home runs and more walks than Justin Smoak since 2017: Mike Trout Aaron Judge Paul Goldschmidt Bryce Harper Alex Bregman Mookie Betts Only Trout, Bregman, and Betts also have fewer strikeouts.
  3. This is where I am at as well. According to a report they were interested in EE, but he prefers the AL, so that would have been the above average bat for the corners. It stinks, but perhaps the guys they had hoped to get were unavailable or signed bigger deals than they anticipated.
  4. Bold take(guess) If Garcia stays healthy he has a better season than Castellanos.
  5. I think the skills competitions are more entertaining than the game itself.
  6. I think it's only possible to win with big names and big money.
  7. Much better spot to be if you are looking for more favorable table games. Much cheaper.
  8. He will probably get a backup gig somewhere. Wisconsin QBs always seem to get back up jobs. I'm probably exaggerating.
  9. The only thing online is that he plans to play. That was from December 8th. Take that for what you want.
  10. Overall, probably similar to Moose but younger. I think this is pretty solid.
  11. Narvarez and Garcia are younger and will make about 20 million less per year that Moose and Grandal...yet their OPS+ is about the same. Also, they aren't locked into the big money deals for long term. You wanted to replace the void by Moose and Grandal? There are 2 moves that get as close as can be.
  12. My wife finds the slots are a little looser on Freemont, but I agree. I don't particularly care for it. Ive seen the show once and that's enough for me.
  13. Probably faked it, cuz he didn't want Giannis to throw a basketball at his face.
  14. The one that gets me is, 'could have cared less'
  15. No, but the previews/commercials look pretty rad. I am hoping to get into it later this winter.
  16. Ha. That's pretty good.
  17. Name-calling isn't what we do here. Discuss. Disagree. Block if you must. Small minded wasnt the right phrase from me. Thinking that way is short sighted is what I should have said.
  18. If you're not happy with this signing, you're free to state that, but Homer already asked you to stop bringing this argument into every thread. Thanks. I will just stop posting then...It's not the same argument, but I guess if I don't conform to all the others here, I get "singled" out. Most here are totally comfortable with the Brewers off season so far, I guess they are allowed to be. I'm not, because I don't care for small time thinking, I never have, never will(and not just as it relates to the Brewers, but life in general), but because I don't agree with the Brewers small time thinking, I'm the guy that takes all the bullets, I get it. Honestly, you are probably the one that is small minded. The Brewers front office has taken the team to the playoffs twice in 2 years. Once within 1 game of the series...the other they had the eventual champs down to their final outs. I'll take Stearns and company over brewcrew fan on a message board.
  19. I like the high spin rate. I wonder if that'll translate with the different size ball/seams.
  20. Apparently Indians in talks with the Dodgers for a package that includes May AND Lux. Yowzers. According to mlb.com via the twitters.
  21. I was thinking the exact same thing. There was one game where Bauer came out and struck out the side or something and his spin rate was 250rpm higher or something. After the game during the interview he said something about it being interesting that his spin rate was up and he became unhittable. EDIT: Here is the quote from that game. Bauer's 4-seamer had a spin rate of 2,597 RPM in 1st inning of last start, compared to a 2,294 season average. Had "no comment" on whether he used a substance on the ball, but noted that his research shows a 200-300 RPM jump on higher-velocity pitches when a substance is used. The rest of the game his spin rate dropped to his normal 2,300. I know Bauer does some crappy things, but I think he knows what he is talking about. I wouldn't be surprised to learn that something fishy was going on.
  22. Yea, I'm sure people here will be mad, but no ones knows what influenced his decision.
  23. Word is he wants a one year deal, so I doubt we nab him for 3 years. If that is true about the QO I could see the Brewers or Reds signing a one year deal with the agreement that they wont offer the QO.
  24. He was really aggressive and confident. Was nice to see. The entire team was actually making shots.
  25. Apparently they talked to wisconsin too....c'mon, it's not the refs - they gave the badgers 30 penalty yards on their last drive which basically was the only reason they had a fg opportunity That false start was an embarrassing miss by the refs.
