  1. I just have to do this... It's "One call, that's all" There, I feel better. :)
  2. Yup, but is he as good as all the youngsters? It doesn't really matter, we have a lot of guys who are great outfielders, it stands to reason you pick the guy whose defense wouldn't hurt us out there by moving him to another position. That would be Yelich.
  3. I think Goldy is being overvalued here. He seems to be starting the downside of his career if you ask me. Plus, I have him on a fantasy team, and he has been pretty disappointing.
  4. Well, Frelick, Wiemer, Chourio, and Mitchell are all great defensively in the OF, Yelich just isn't. It would be a waste to start any of those 4 at 1B given their OF capabilities. Yelich is the obvious choice to make the transition. Not sure if Taylor has ever played there in the minors, but I doubt it.
  5. We are about to embark on a bonafied Outfield logjam in the very near future. I am assuming we will start 2024 out with Wiemer, Frelick, Mitchell, Yelich and Taylor. That's 5 guys right there who are going to need regular reps. This list doesn't even include Chourio, who is going to be knocking hard on the outfield door as soon as next year in spring training. Then what? Do we continue to play Yelich in LF, knowing full well that all the other guys I listed above are superior defensively? Add Chourio to that list, and we have 6 outfielders who deserve regular playing time. There simply isn't room for them all. Do we trade a guy like Taylor in the offseason? How about Wiemer, is he a guy you field offers for? It's a nice problem to have, but then again, it's also going to be an issue if things continue as they are now. If Yelich is open to it, playing him at 1B is ideal as long as he can legitimately field the position. 4-5 games a week at 1B, the others at DH seems like a great plan!
  6. This thread is just like politics. Doesn't matter what is said, no one is going to change their mind. I don't understand how anyone can be against giving him a try, I mean, what we've done all season hasn't really worked, sooooo... But like I said, people don't change their minds, everyone is prepared to die on their hill, so the fact that this is still going on is kind of funny to me.
  7. Holy crap man, you were willing to give up up all those guys for Alonso alone? I am 100% thankful you are not our gM/owner.
  8. Gray is actually having a nice rebound year in Appleton... I’m a big fan of Gray and his incredible raw tools, but his OPS is lower this year than it was in 2022 with a .193 BA. I hope he can put things together again the way he seemed to in the first half of ‘21. I think you might be looking at something totally different than reality. His batting average is .245, not .193. His OPS is .682, last year it was .632. Is he a world beater, nope, but he has shown improvement in most offensive categories over last year. I think you’re looking at just his A+ stats, where ARob was quoting his full season line which includes 39 PAs in AA hitting 054/103/081. Reaching base safely in all five plate appearances yesterday now bumped his OPS slightly above what it was last season and he has shown some improvement at A+, but with his nightmare stint in Biloxi and this being his third year in Appleton it is somewhat worrisome.
  9. My favorite band of all freaking time! So yes to your question! lol (original member band, not the cover band they are using today)
  10. He's actually had some pretty nice games this year, not so much today though.
  11. Basing fandom on "financially invested" doesn't compute with me. I can not have more than one favorite team in any sport. Just makes no sense to me. I see people all the time saying they are fans of more than one team, but that just isn't possible. Its BREWERS or die! I hate everyone else!
  12. Wow! I did not see that one coming. Looking forward to some follow up on this story.
  13. No worries, we'll let him go for nothing, and he will go on to crush it with another team. The stubbornness is infuriating.
  14. I am not excited to see Rowdy back in the line-up. Talk about a guy we didn't miss in the least. I do not want him taking at bats from Santana.......EVER!
  15. True, I seem to remember a lot of people on the Chafin bandwagon, towing the company line... DFA this bum tonight!
  16. Just another failed RP pick up at the deadline...
  17. whew... DFA Chafin before he gets his uniform off.
  18. In all seriousness, who didn't see this coming..........except for CC and Oxy. lol
  19. CC just trying to get Devin Williams lined up for a save to pad his stats. Mission accomplished, now get this freaking bum out of there.
  20. Have you not seen him pitch as a Brewer? C'mon now...
  21. Chafin warming up. Holy crap, it just can't be easy. No way in hell I pitch this guy even with a 5 run lead. He better have a REALLY short leash.
