  1. Well, the year we added Moose and Grandal would rank up there with this year.
  2. Don't know, he's still out there...
  3. Man, that's 14 million in Junis and Sanchez? That money could have been spent a lot better in JD Martinez.
  4. Just adding to our catcher collection... Hope he was cheap. If he is going to primarily DH, I was surely hoping for better than this.
  5. That is pretty much how he described the show. I think I'll give it a try and see what's up. Thanks!
  6. If we keep Adames, I think there is a better shot that Black starts on the opening day roster, and Turang starts at AAA. 1B Hoskins, 2B Ortiz, SS Adames, 3B Black. This is what I'd hope to see, and this is what I'm expecting. Of course, if Turang rips up spring training and Ortiz does not, that might be a factor in what happens, obviously.
  7. Also, we were told to not be wandering around Maryville under any circumstance after dark. Were told to just head out after the game. Is this still true? I know in the past, it was a pretty bad place for tourists, just wondering if it has improved in recent years?
  8. Cool! My wife and I did the same thing. We visited the Grand Canyon, Sedona, etc, and caught just one game at Maryville. It was a blast! We didn't get the free seats in the owner's box though. lol This was in 2022. Planning a full week trip next year with a couple of buddies.
  9. Jakob Junis is signing with the Brewers, according to ESPN’s Kiley McDaniel. McDaniel says Junis will be treated as a starter, at least initially. We’d still love to see what Junis could do as a pure short reliever, and it’s rather bizarre that it’s never happened, given that Junis has one really effective pitch in his slider and nothing else that’s very good. The 31-year-old had a 3.86 ERA in 86 innings over 40 appearances for the Giants last season. Related Milwaukee Brewers 12h ago Source: Kiley McDaniel
  10. Wouldn't have to worry about Haniger hindering anything, dude just can NOT stay healthy. Always hurt, ALWAYS!
  11. Probably a moot point with the Junis signing.
  12. If that is all we can get for Williams, I'm hanging onto him...just saying.
  13. Obviously, AAA pitching is quite a it different than MLB pitching. I applaud the effort, but I just don't think you can compare the two and get anything out of it. Maybe compare them using AAA for both players, then see what we have.
  14. Anyone seen the Californication tv series? Had it recommended to me by a friend, but is recommendations have been hit and miss for me. lol
  15. Dude just wants to play, says he'll play for anyone!!! Golden opportunity here, we need to take the risk. https://www.sportskeeda.com/baseball/news-i-play-anyone-dodgers-astros-trevor-bauer-signals-intent-mlb-return-top-teams?key2=1977873&fbclid=IwAR1h96YRFFVldT25hMT1LkO4kguxpyJ1bTYxJkpZLE50FmiJ6POQJGQatTs
  16. If no one is attempting to sign this guy, offer him a cheap prove it contract loaded with incentives. He'd pitch his ass off, stay on the up and up as a human being, in hopes of a big payday next season. I just really wonder if the league as a whole is blackballing him, or if there are really no teams interested...
  17. Bauer still out there! I'd sign this guy to a cheap contract in a heartbeat.
  18. Yup, 5 million with other incentives...
  19. God, that would be a really gross trade...Take Black out of any deal involving Musgrove.
  20. This is a great idea actually.
  21. I get that, but I think we don't start the season with Adames. He gets traded, but I'm not convinced we move Williams unless the get is just too huge to pass up. I mean, to trade arguably the best closer in baseball with two years of control left, we have to expect a massive payoff, or it won't get done.
  22. lol Apparently both, I confused myself, so I'm sure I confused everyone else too.
  23. Yeah, and hopefully they learned a lesson from that recent track record. I am assuming that Adames is a MAJOR influence on that clubhouse. Everyone loves the guy, you trade him in the midst of a playoff chase, and the effects would probably be way worse than when they traded Hader.
