  1. I certainly hope we have set our sights higher than that.
  2. hmmm, I really liked Brady in Appleton. I'm the first to admit I typically don't like these kind of trades as it always feels like we are just randomly dumping guys. Both these guys seemed like they had a future to me, who is obviously not a scout, but damn...
  3. Maybe the Brewers want to put the Yelich contract money into locking up Burnes? Just a thought...
  4. The only reason he would consider waiving his NTC for Toronto would be because he wants a championship. He might view them as a lot better shot than Milwaukee.
  5. I don't view Yelich as an elite defender anymore. In fact, he is probably the weakest defender out of Chourio, Frelick, Wiemer, Mitchell and Taylor. Just another reason not to have him in LF when we have a lot better options defensively. He's either destined for 1B or DH, playing him in the OF doesn't seem to be the best thing for the team any longer. (Yes, I know Arnold said he wouldn't be playing 1B)
  6. This guy is well worth the flyer we are taking on him.
  7. Man, the Dodgers just love those injured SP guys. Glasnow is made of glass, you only know he will have at least one lengthy IL trip per season, if not more. They get him, and will then have to replace him at some point during the season. lol Good for them.
  8. I have a running bet with a buddy that Hiura ends up in Pittsburgh, so this made me laugh.....sort of.
  9. Saw EILEEN today. Went on a whim, and it was pretty decent, but I am not a fan of the ending.........at all. (no spoilers)
  10. More than likely... I once thought Burnes was destined to be a Dodger, but if they sign Yamamoto, I think that will not be happening. Makes sense really, they can throw boatloads of money around, no need to trade their top prospects.
  11. Might also have a lot to do with where they are in the standings, and how good Wilken is in 2024... Out of the playoff hunt, and Wilken is kicking butt in AAA could mean an early promotion. In the playoff hunt and he has been mediocre all season with the bat could mean we go in a different direction to end the season. So many factors will play into what happens with him in 2024 and 2025. I'm putting money on the idea he sees MLB action sometime after the trade deadline, if not sooner if he is raking!
  12. Just admit it man, you are a Dodgers fan. Nothing else makes sense in the way you are defending them, and to a small market fan board to boot. I never got this vibe from you before, but go ahead, come out of that Dodger closet and go get yourself an authentic Ohtani jersey!
  13. This entire situation is just plain gross. I couldn't do it, but I wish I could just wash my hands of MLB and quit following it all together.
  14. Growing up, I don't remember a lot of Brewers games being on TV. My Dad and I listened on the radio the majority of the time. I remember in the 80's, it was an absolute treat if the Brewers were on TV. So much different seeing them, than just hearing Uecker describe the game and action.
  15. If this is true, and I haven't done the math, it's disgusting. lol
  16. Ok, so you are against a salary cap then?
  17. This is beyond gross.
  18. Completely unnecessary comment.
