  1. Maybe the Reds guaranteed more playing time than us?
  2. I think the majority of us have accepted it, myself included, but if they really want to spend more, they could, according to MA himself.
  3. I think everyone wanted him back, but I don't think anyone wanted him back at the price he got from the Reds. I'm sure there is an old thread that could be dug up to tell us who was on board and who wasn't.
  4. As Brewers fans, we have been conditioned by the organization and the media to think we CAN'T spend the money. It has been going on for years, and now that they have us all believing it, it makes it easier for them to not spend. I simply don't believe they CAN'T spend the money when Attanasio admitted publicly that they could have spent a lot more money last year. The fact that he admitted he could spend, and people still want to believe he CAN'T, is amazing.
  5. I see a lot of people saying Turner won't play for anyone else and is just waiting on the Dodgers. I wonder if the fact that we can offer him steady playing time at 3B would be something that could sway him? If we could offer him 130+ games at 3B would that be the needle mover he needs, or would he rather play 60 games at 3B and DH for the Dodgers? Would love to get him, but I'm afraid I agree, he is just waiting on the Dodger's offer, and will probably just take what they offer him to stay home.
  6. If only we can come up with a replacement for Urias. I smell a future trade happening and I think it will be sooner rather than later. There has to be a 3B out there that is major league ready, and that could be had for one of our outfielders, Mitchell would be my choice for trade bait.
  7. I went to the last one, and vowed to never go again. It's a crap show, no great deals like in the past, and it's just too damn crowded. Not to mention meeting the players and getting autos has become un-fun the way it is set up.
  8. I just don't see them carrying 3 catchers on a daily basis.
  9. Looks like the Twins are getting Vazquez, 3 years - 30 million.
  10. I like these two guys better than all 3 of the guys we got for Renfroe.
  11. Maybe they can find an interested trading partner for Feliciano now that he is pretty much in no-man's land for the Brewers?
  12. This thought just creeped into my head. With Contreras signed for another 5 years (until after the 2027 season), where does Quero now fit into the plan. I'm high on this kid, and if he is ready to go in 2024, 2025 at the latest, what do we do about it?
  13. Maybe, Pina is going to back up Langeliers, so I can't imagine that Pina had any value in that deal. They must have REALLY wanted an outfielder bad, or wanted Ruiz bad to even involve us.
  14. I'd be on board with that! Would love to know what it will cost to sign him though.
  15. I'd love it a lot more with a real 3B and Frelick in place of Taylor.
  16. Anderson and Drury are not the big bats I am hoping for. Those guys are just guys, especially Anderson, and I'm not sure what to think about Drury to be honest. Had a great season last year, but where did that come from?
  17. If only we could snag a BIG BAT 3B... I don't think we are done this off-season. I think we just might be getting a 3B out of the blue just like we got our catcher. We'll probably over=pay to even things out though.
  18. Probably a LOT, however, when they traded Hader, they couldn't possibly know what it would lead to. In all fairness, is Murphy that much better than Contreras? I know there are a million stats that will say it's so, but how much better is he in true life?
  19. Oh man, I don't even know how to act if that is the case.
  20. If we are getting Contreras plus those other guys, there is no chance it is just Ruiz. I don't think I'll be able to stand it if it's Frelick or Wiemer.
