  1. Any "Chicago PD" or "Bluebloods" fans here? Been watching both shows from the beginning. Obviously, not as gritty as "The Wire" and "The Shield," but still good TV if you enjoy the cop shows...
  2. My wife and I watched OUR final episode of Big Sky this week. It was interesting when it started, but every episode this season has lead me to wonder why I'm still tuning in. The last episode was the deal breaker. Bye bye BIG SKY. this run has been less than desirable. I haven't watched last nights episode yet. It wasn't the last episode that made us quit watching, it was the entire season. This is just the week that we said "NO MORE!" We could have easily stopped watching weeks ago, but didn't.

  4. Longmire: I have 2 more episodes of season 5. Then starting the final season this weekend. Looking forward to seeing how this series ends...
  5. It's definitely a NEED! Resting on what happened last year, and hoping we can get that same production out of our pitching staff is always a risk. One of the top 3 goes down with a long injury, and we will be NEEDING that bat. 2 of them go down with an extended injury, and it becomes more than a NEED, but instead a MUST to compete again. You just can't think that because we won 95 games last year with no legit bat, that we can duplicate that in 2022. I don't know how anyone can look at our batting line-up and think we don't NEED a legit middle of the order bat... I'm all for looking at value, it is necessary for this team, but expressing the NEED for a middle of the order bat is a normal reaction when looking at our offensive numbers from last season.
  6. Just curious, and I'm on board with shedding Cain's salary in 2022, but if we were to be lucky enough to find a taker for Cain, who would play CF on a regular basis? Taylor? Doesn't trading Cain just create another hole to fill? Our current outfield is Yelich, Cain, Renfroe and Taylor. Are we counting Dahl as our 5th outfielder? This team offensively is just constructed weird, so getting rid of Cain just means we then have to find a real center fielder.
  7. I have no cable contract. I can drop at anytime. (spectrum) I do have the boxes though.
  8. So, which steaming services actually have Bally Sports right now? Not in the future, or had it, but which services currently, as of today carry it? Bally Sports is a deal breaker for me, and the biggest reason I have stuck with cable. (well, that and I don't want to play streaming service bingo every other month)
  9. Hicks is a walking injury. I don't want to pay guys that we know are going to miss half their games. Cain is bad enough, why on earth would we want another guy for the next 4 years that we just hope can play in half the games? I'd like to stay away from guys like that when dealing with tight purse strings.
  10. Meh, I don't put much stock in projections to be honest. We obviously are going to need some more bats, but we all know that without some projections website spitting out inaccurate information.
  11. As he should be...
  12. Seems to be the general feeling. Hard to believe a company that big can have such poor customer service and survive. I haven't seen or heard anyone say differently though, so obviously it's a problem.
  13. So do I need approval to post and view certain threads now?
  14. I sure hope that MLB never goes to all that advertising on the uniforms. It's bad enough that we have to look at the nike swoosh on everything, but adding more sponsorship on the unis would really suck. NBA has started, hopefully we never see it in MLB.
  15. Ok, but it is relevant to me, so...
  16. lol That past couple of pages have not convinced me in the slightest that people who go through all the streaming, equipment, different services, etc, etc, etc have it any better than those of us who are over paying for cable. I will be checking into TDS as soon as it becomes available in my area, which will be pretty darn soon since they have been digging up the neighborhood the past week. Before making the switch, I of course will be giving Spectrum one last chance to come down in price, which will then have them politely telling me to go pound sand.
  17. Well, it is "that" bad when you consider it is about to be 1/4 of our payroll. We have an average player eating up 25% of what we pay the entire team. It really is that bad...
  18. As much as we hate it, imagine how Yelich himself feels... This has to be frustration on a level that would be hard to understand or comprehend unless it happened to you.
  19. Yeah, I was a Moose fan, was sad to see him go, but as we all thought at the time, that contract was crap. As much as I liked the guy, I have no interest in bringing him back. Not much interest in Rizzo either for what it would cost to get him. He might be the kind of guy you can sign on a one year deal when no one else signs him late in the off season, like Moose and Grandal. Even then, it would have to be a really good deal.
  20. geez, I have no idea why I thought the Vikings won that game, even watched it. major brain fart. I apologize. geez.
  21. This needs to be the year that we spend more than we are comfortable with spending. If not this year, then when? We basically have a 2-3 year window to make things happen. After that, unless Small and Ashby can replace Burnes and Woodruff, we will not have the pitching we will have the next 2-3 years. Now is the time!

    Pizza

Which area are you talking about? Not a food truck, but if downtown Appleton, you have to try Sal's by the slice. (located right across the street from the PAC) They also give you a delicious garlic roll with the slice. My favorite pizza in Appleton by far.
