TURBO

Looking forward to the Sopranos pre-qual!

I like BA, but he is just absent so often, I wouldn't mind if they just went out and found a guy who was there 150+ games per season.

Lauer

geez Adames.

Baez is such a dick.

Filled the hole with spackle, hung up some reflective streamers, and the damn woodpecker hasn't been back since. I'm sure our neighbors wonder what the hell I'm doing with streamers hung up high on my garage, but it seems to be working...................for now.

Except the Cardinals will not lose....EVER AGAIN!

Geez, I know there is stress involved with being a Brewers fan lately, but the sniping is getting ridiculous here... We are all fans of the same team, and isn't that the reason we are here nightly?

The woodpecker that has decided to peck a 2 inch round hole into our decorative vent above our garage. They do this to attract mates in the spring, make nests in the spring, or to find food. None of which apply in this case. Now I have to find a 12 foot tall ladder, fill the giant hole and repaint the damn thing, as well as figure out a way to keep it away from coming back and doing the same thing again. Also, you can't take lethal action since it is protected.

Question is from the IGT, but figured it seemed somewhat relevant to this topic so here's the answer... 2 HR Player | Date | Benched | Next Game Result Cain | April 7 | NO | (0-4, Loss) Vogelbach | April 18 | YES | (Win) Nottingham | May 2 | YES | (Loss) Wong | June 1 | NO | (0-2, Win) Taylor | June 1 | YES | (0-1 PH, Win) Urias | June 30 | YES | (Win) Rowdy | July 24 | NO | (1-4, Loss) Manny | July 29 | YES | (Won) Manny | August 12 | NO | (2-3, Loss) Urias | August 12 | YES | (Loss) Avisail | August 18 | NO | (0-2, Loss) Yelich | August 21 | NO | (2-5, Win) Escobar | September 10 | NO | (0-4, Win) Wong | September 12 | NO | (0-4, Loss) Manny | September 18 | YES | (Loss) Taylor | September 23 | YES | (Win) So if I counted right there have been 16 different instances of a Brewer player having a 2 HR game this year. Eight times that player has started the next game & eight times they have not. Twice two players hit 2 HR in the same game & both times one sat & one started the next game & the Brewers went 1-1 in those games. Of the eight players that did start the next game after their 2 HR game, none of them hit a HR & they went a combined 5-29 so their heat dissipated quickly with the Brewers going 2-4 in the six games where one 2 HR hitter started the next game. In the six games the one 2 HR player sat the following game the Brewers went 4-2 in those games. Too small of a sample to really draw any meaningful conclusions from, but those are the numbers. Wow, thanks for that information... So it appears that based on this season alone, you hit 2 homers in a single game, you have a 50/50 chance of being benched the next day.

Who jokes about 2008? That felt like a trip to the world series it had been so long since we had sniffed the playoffs!

Baez = best tagger in the history of MLB.

Wong with the Carlos Gomez swing out of your helmet move...

They might have to try and flip an arm for an RBI bat in the offseason. I like the depth though, losing just one of those guys to injury puts us in a position of need at pitching again. I hope they keep all 6 of them, and go a different route for a bat. Anderson has to be gone for good.

In his defense, yesterday turned into an epic trainwreck the likes of which we haven't seen out of this team all season. Just a perfect storm of terribleness. Even the most pessimistic of fans couldn't have predicted that. Absolutely agreed. I would say until last night, tho the bullpen had some hiccups recently, they were still reliable for the most part and a strength. After last night, trust needs to be restored and CC finds himself having to grapple with that. That may be true, but Houser had another inning in him, no doubt about it.

It sure looks like our rotation is loaded for next season. I'm even expecting a better season from Houser and Lauer than this one, add in Ashby? My my my...

Not sure it's the best move sending him out there with 100+pitches though... Just so uncharacteristic. Pull Houser, who was cruising after 6 with 81 pitches, let Lauer go, who is cruising, with 100 pitches. Just weird decision making by CC.

Why didn’t he send houser out last night Exactly...

Instead, Yelich will start, and Taylor will be on the bench. Watch and see. I am quoting myself for truth. TAYLOR IS IN FACT ON THE BENCH AFTER HIS 2 HOMER NIGHT. ugh

Can any of you stat guys look up how often a Brewers player has hit 2 homers in a game, then been benched the following game?

Taylor hits two dingers yesterday, and rides the bench today. Laughably predictable.

In a perfect world, yes. What about the last 210 games?

C'mon man... Yelich has had 2 season's to "get going", and has yet to do so. The guy has 8 homers this season, let that sink in... He won't "get going" if he is sitting, and he hasn't "got going" with all the playing time in the world. Dude is a shell of his former self, and if he hasn't flipped the switch yet after two seasons, now is not the time to think he will. His bat is no longer a threat, at least not this year. The competition no longer see him as 2018-2019 Yelich, he is just a guy, and has done nothing the past two seasons to prove otherwise. Sometimes CC's tunnel vision is ridiculous.

Agreed. It will be pretty deflating if Taylor is on the bench tomorrow night after two dingers today. Won't shock me in the least, as that has happened countless times in CC's tenure.

Instead, Yelich will start, and Taylor will be on the bench. Watch and see.
