  1. Then don't. Why do we need to know this information. You slummed it showing up today, if things don't go your way, then you don't need to stick around, it's a choice.
  2. Cain is a risk though because of the injury factor, but you have to keep him, obviously. I'd take Taylor over JBJ every single time. Not even close, but there is no way we are paying JBJ 12 million to not even be on the roster. JBJ's offense has been severely over rated too. Same can be said about Yelich, who has offered basically nothing the last 2 seasons. Who would you rather have at the plate in a playoff game, Yelich or TT? TT or JBJ?
  3. I wouldn't trade Stearns for both of those guys... pass. At what point do you make lemonade as best you can. Stearns may interview and not even want to go work for that owner. Realistically, Stearns should have wrote an out in his contract for the Mets, if it was that big of a deal, but do you risk him getting a little disgruntled over it or get something in a trade and keep everybody moving up the food chain and happy. Of course, he should have to wait until the playoff run is over. It would take a premier player(s) for me to trade Stearns away, even then, I don't know that I'd go through with it. I just don't view the guys mentioned above as needle movers on our current roster.
  4. I wouldn't trade Stearns for both of those guys... pass.
  5. Hopefully that was the last appearance we have to stomach from the guy. Lock this down!
  6. This thread was fine until we took a big crap all over ourselves. 97 wins would have been awesome, and it sure looked like we had a crack at 100. Now, not so much.
  7. In order to hand out that kind of suspension, they better be damn sure the guy was 100% throwing at someone. I don't think they can ever know this for certain outside an admittance by the pitcher...
  8. "We" is being used quite loosely here... I 100% want no part of the Cardinals in the post season. None.
  9. I see him as #7, behind Lauer, Houser, and Ashby.
  10. I have guaranteed a Brewers victory tonight! I picked up Mikolas and started him in a fantasy league! He will now get shelled! (I'm up 400 points in that league, so I can afford the negative points he will surely now get me!)
  11. Braves recalled INF/OF Orlando Arcia from Triple-A Gwinnett. The 27-year-old former top prospect has batted just .169/.224/.268 with two home runs and one stolen base over 30 games (76 plate appearances) this season between Milwaukee and Atlanta. It would totally suck if he gets a BIG hit against us in the playoffs...Then again, I highly doubt he makes the playoff roster.
  12. I'm kind of glad the Cards are peaking now. Too much time between now and the playoffs, hopefully they get it out of their systems now, then flop right out of the playoffs...
  13. I never feel good about Anderson starts. Rational or not, I just hate his starts...
  14. I'd like a roll call of members who don't understand this reference please... No googling it either!
  15. He only has to make that catch because he so misplayed it... I was expecting a much more exciting play, meh.
  16. Nothing brings out the fair weather fans like the playoffs! I'll be shocked if they don't sell out...
