  1. So are you saying you wouldn't want Gore in a trade for Hader? I'm not sure what your point is really... Seems odd that you are projecting a possible TJ surgery, or low inning total. I'm with those who are high on Gore. I'd trade Hader straight up for Gore this very instant.
  2. If you like Superstore, I'd recommend a show called "10 Items or Less." I found that show to be hilarious, and it's in the same ballpark as The Office and Superstore. Takes place in a supermarket.
  3. Just bumping this up in case anyone else wants to donate. I'll have this student again when 3rd trimester rolls around (in 2 weeks) so if anyone has a bunch of cards they would normally toss, let me know. Thanks to those who already donated, very cool of you!
  4. I enjoyed it. I watched it awhile ago and I think it may have taken a few episodes for me to get into, but it's a weird (obv. lol), dark show, with some good intense moments. I'm almost finished with season 2, and I can't stop watching... Thanks for the tip!
  5. Hader should have never been in that game long enough to walk 5 guys. That was a gigantic fail on Counsell. Totally asinine how he handled that situation.
  6. Could this be one of those value signings that the Brewers like? Maybe not quite yet, but it seems like at some point he is going to want to sign on with someone... Maybe we can swoop in and get him for a 1 year deal? Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic reports that free agent right-hander Jake Odorizzi would have signed with a team by now if he had received an offer to his liking. Rosenthal notes that injuries are inevitable in spring training, and COVID-19-related absences also are possible, which may result in an increased demand for Odorizzi this spring. The 30-year-old righty is the highest-profile starting pitcher left on the open market, despite throwing only 13 2/3 frames due to injuries during the pandemic-shortened 2020 campaign. He was reportedly seeking a three-year contract in the $40-million range this offseason after accepting the Twins’ $17.8 million qualifying offer last year. It’s possible that an unforeseen major injury to a contending team’s rotation could result in a hefty long-term contract for Odorizzi, but there’s also a possibility that he may end up settling for a short-term deal at some point this spring. 7. According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the Padres are unlikely to trade for Brewers closer Josh Hader. Rosenthal notes that while the two sides have talked intermittently about Hader over the past two years, they don't currently line up for a trade. Padres skipper Jayce Tingler is already on record as being "incredibly open-minded" about who will handle the ninth inning for his club -- with some mix of Drew Pomeranz, Emilio Pagan, Mark Melancon and Keone Kela landing saves. It should be a tremendous bullpen for the Padres. SOURCE: The Athletic Feb 27, 2021, 9:35 AM ET
  8. ...and Kotsay, don't forget Mark Kotsay and his CF abilities...
  9. No one is going to trade for Arcia because he tried playing some CF.
  10. Brewers manager Craig Counsell said this week that getting a long look at Luis Urias at shortstop during spring training is "something we want to do." Urias was set to compete for the shortstop job in 2020, but he missed spring training because of a broken hamate bone and then tested positive for COVID-19 at the start of summer camp. He then mostly played third base when he was healthy because the Brewers needed help at the position. Now, it sounds like he might be the favorite to start at shortstop over Orlando Arcia. Urias has posted a lackluster .635 OPS over 422 career plate appearances at the major league level, but the former top prospect has some offensive upside. Arcia, meanwhile, is expected to play some third base and center field this spring in addition to shortstop. RELATED: Orlando Arcia SOURCE: The Athletic Feb 26, 2021, 5:42 PM ET
  11. Uh oh, look for some new neck ink when we next see Mario...
  12. He has it in some kind of pony-tail/manbun creation.
  13. Wouldn't it be $42 higher to make up for it? I meant $21 higher than my normal bill...
  14. Freddy Peralta will be stretched out during spring training, according to Brewers manager Craig Counsell. Peralta may pitch more innings in 2021 than he has in the past as Milwaukee looks to navigate their pitchers' overall workloads in the upcoming season. Many expect Peralta to fill a swingman-type role for the Brewers, and with so many teams considering a six-man rotation, this is a situation worth monitoring. The 24-year-old had a strong, albeit brief, 2020 season, posting a 3.99 ERA, 1.15 WHIP, and 14.4 K/9 over 29 1/3 innings. SOURCE: Will Sammon on Twitter Feb 24, 2021, 12:22 PM ET
  15. I have Spectrum cable. For some reason, my bill dropped $21 last month. I have no clue as to why, but I'm not going to call and ask them either. Just hoping next months bill isn't $21 higher to make up for their "error."

  17. The look of that top 3 makes me swoon...
  18. Lock it down...
  19. This thread can be locked down too... As first reported by Tae Woo Kim of SPOTV in South Korea, free agent outfielder Shin-Soo Choo has agreed to a contract with the Shinsegae Wyverns of the KBO. Kim notes that the Shinsegae Wyverns, formerly the SK Wyverns, got a "lukewarm reaction" from Choo when they contacted him about possibly playing for the club at the end of the 2020 MLB season, but obviously things changed as the winter trudged along. He officially signed Tuesday morning -- South Korea time -- on a deal said to be worth $2.4 million. Choo batted just .236 with a .723 OPS in 127 plate appearances last season for the Rangers and turns 39 years old this summer, so the MLB free agent interest was probably limited. 20. If all three produce at their career norms, considering their total game, Cain's the best of the 3 and it's not even close. Except Cain, is old, and Bradley is younger with more upside today... No contest, I'd take Bradley over Cain today.
  21. I'd take Bradley over both Garcia and Cain. This would be great if we trade one of Cain/Garcia for a real 3B somehow...
  22. "Trade chatter with Cain?" Anyone else seen or heard this?
  23. Robert Murray of FanSided reports that the Brewers are "in the mix" with free agent outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. The Astros are reportedly out and the Mets appear to be pivoting with no clarity on the DH, so that leaves room for a surprise team to swoop in. The Red Sox continue to stay in touch, so a reunion remains within the realm of possibility. As of now, the Brewers project to have Christian Yelich, Lorenzo Cain, and Avisail Garcia across their outfield, though there's been at least some degree of trade chatter with Cain. Barring that, we could see a lot of Garcia on the bench. RELATED: Milwaukee Brewers SOURCE: Robert Murray on Twitter Feb 22, 2021, 12:51 PM ET
  24. Anything is better than Sogard, so glad we won't have the nerd this year. Great guy and teamate, but I don't want to see him playing in a Brewers uni again.
