  1. Rock continues to say that Anderson was cruising along before that blister... No he wasn't, he was getting tagged, and it looked like he was about to blow up anyway.
  2. Well, the blister in game 60 kind of adds a cherry on top of 2020.
  3. Well, this is only his 3rd injury of the season, so it could have been worse.
  4. But you aren't down 0-4... Scoring 5 runs for this team at times is near impossible.
  5. Freddy needs to come out now... Down 4 seems insurmountable, down 5+ and this is O-V-E-R!
  6. But again, Peralta hasn't pitched in a week. I think it is completely justifiable to expect a rusty appearance from Freddy there, and bringing him in with a runner at 3B is just asking for it. It isn't like he is coming in on normal rest and mental prosperity. He was inactive for a week, and his mind was more than likely on his new born and wife most of that week. I stand by my complaint, Peralta should not have been used with a runner on 3B and no outs. That was an obvious Williams situation.
  7. Well, Vogelbach at least scored a run there, I'm not certain anyone else would have been able to put the ball in play...
  8. Gyroko homer here would make us feel a little bit better.
  9. True, but it could have given us a clean slate at least. I know one thing for sure, had he brought in Williams, we wouldn't be down 4 runs.
  10. It is up there with starting Mark Kotsay in CF in a play-off eliminating game... Seriously, did Counsell even think about Williams for one single second?
  11. This mess just takes me back to the decision not to pitch Williams here... If Williams comes in, do they score 0 or 1 run? Hindsight and all that, but it makes you wonder what the game would look like now, had our manager made a different choice.
  12. It's not like we couldn't predict this kind of appearance from Peralta. He hasn't pitched since last Sunday, meanwhile, his child is born... Has his head been in the game until he showed up today? I guess he just isn't ready for the bright lights yet.
  13. Why is that? Why has he completely changed what he does as a manager? It's infuriating.
  14. That is true, so I guess if someone has to be in, might as well be us.
  15. So it comes down to hoping that 2 teams lose. Yup, seems about right for 2020. Only way in the playoffs is to back in.
  16. If we have good Freddy, he can shut this down though... If he is bad Freddy, or Rusty Freddy, this gets bad quick.
  17. I was thinking the same exact thing. Strikeouts here are BIG, and Williams is that guy. Would suck when we need him later, but we have to play this in the moment.
  18. Get someone up in that bullpen. We can't be extra patient today.
