  1. Henderson hasn't been the same since that MVP type season, Last year and this year, his numbers are down, so much so that he is basically just a guy. Sure, he could bounce back anytime,, but it's been over a year and a half since that 2024 season, and all his numbers have decreased. 17 homers this year, finished last year with 17 homers, but that is a long way from his 37 in 2024. Batting average has cratered, and he is no longer a threat to steal. Anyone can look up his numbers for comparison year by year. He just isn't a difference maker right now, and especially not the kind of difference maker it takes to win the World Series this season. Holiday has been awful and hurt frequently for 2 seasons, and right now, looks quite a bit like a bust.
  2. I'd be willing to deal both Gasser and Crow for Skubal, but I'm not throwing Henderson into the deal. I'm just not.
  3. He is injured SO frequently though, and in fact, is battling 2 injuries (wrist and groin) right now that could jeopardize his next start or more...
  4. Skubal was hurt THIS year, and sat an extended period of time THIS season. I think you can paint this any way you want, but if we trade for him, and that injury shows up again, we are screwed, SCREWED I SAY! There is tremendous risk in a guy like Skubal if we don't get exactly what we need out him, due to the fact he is a pure rental, a total rental since there is less than a zero % chance we can resign him. Skubal is no sure thing, there is risk, and a move like this could absolutely devastate us this year and beyond if what we give up for him is substantial.
  5. Gosh, I'd hate to lose Henderson or Drohan...
  6. You want to completely gut the farm for three guys who still do not guarantee a World Series? R I S K Y
  7. I'd rather pay Vaughn the 10 million for one season, compared to being on the hook for Bauers at 36 million for 3 seasons to be honest. If he is at his peak this year, I don't want to pay for his downfall. I simply don't trust this is the guy we would have for the next 3 years. I'm enjoying his season, and we are fortunate to have him this season (contract year btw) but I'm fine with him leaving for that contract someplace else. We won't need Bauers nearly as much next season if one of the young guys shows up, and in 2028, one of the youngsters will surely be up and playing 1B.
  8. High and mighty because they like to rip the thread for not being what they want it to be, yet continue to come back. High and mighty for calling out posters for being negative, when they have every right to post their frustrations in a thread basically built for hot takes and knee jerk reactions.
  9. Funny when people cut down the IGT threads, yet continue to come back, read, and even reply. People who can't handle it here really should stay away. This place isn't going to change because a couple high and mighty posters don't like the tone these threads often take.
  10. I haven't seen Adamczewski being used at 1B, he was moved to the OF full time though.
  11. The more I rip Yelich, the better he does! He SUCKS! :)
  12. That was a joke, c'mon... You think I think the Brewers would DFA that salary?
  13. Lets' see a comparison between Joey and Yelich in that same time frame...
  14. Henderson stays healthy up to the playoffs, he's our #3, no question.
  15. Why does Joey stay at the bottom and Yelich stays at the top. Joey is hitting like a leadoff, and Yelich is hitting like a #9. Wouldn't really want to mess with Joey right now myself, but I could see a lot of managers reading the situation, and doing something to get Yelich out of that leadoff spot.
  16. Any chance we don't give up 2 runs in the 1st?
  17. @owbc @KCBrewerfan34 I'm curious why you gave my post above a thumbs down? Are you saying we could carry two DH only guys? What was it you disagreed with?
  18. NOT Hardin. Please, not Hardin...
  19. We damn well better not be thinking of trading Adamczewski for Freddy Peralta. I can't tell you how much I don't want to trade this kid, and if we trade him for a rental like Peralta, we will truly regret it in the near future. UGH! I know it says Detroit was looking at him, but odds are, the other teams were too.
  20. It would be so like the Brewers to score 4 runs off Devin... Not to mention, it would be fun to watch.
  21. C'mon Gary! C'mon Murphy for allowing this madness to continue...
  22. Sanchez with another failed challenge. Like clockwork, but he went into the 4th inning before challenging tonight. Baby steps.
