There is no way they are going to admit their mistake and relegate Lindlom to the bull pen or Appleton. He will stay in the rotation the rest of the regular season.

This game feels un-winable right now... Not a fun team to watch, in fact, this is my least favorite team in recent memory. A boring, futile, unlikeable bunch of trash heap garbage.

Not really, no. Moose and Grandal are sucking butt too, so keeping either of those guys at their salaries probably would have gotten Stearns in trouble with the fan base too. (I admit, I wanted to keep one of them...)

This might not be a popular opinion, but I am pretty disappointed in Garcia. Dude has been nothing more than average. On a team that was hell bent on not spending money last off season, his cash could have been used a lot more efficiently elsewhere. He can be replaced in our line-up daily, and we probably wouldn't notice it.

Do we have the room to sign a guy to use strictly as a DH? Braun and Hiura need to be someplace when they aren't in the field. Turn the page on Domingo, no need to get him back again just because he is an ex-brewer.

Catcher and any of the OF spots are actually covered rather well for the Brewers in the minors. Feliciano is a good catching prospect and there are a few others in the minors that have some promising futures. As for the OF prospects they are further away as most are in the lower levels. First base and third base are the real problems but I think those can easily be solved in free agency. Justin Turner is a FA this off season and he could be a target for either 1B or 3B though he is on the older side. Profar is also a free agent this off season he could be someone to target for 3B. If a Hader trade happens we should see two really good prospects added to the team. 1B and 3B can not and will not be solved easily in free agency. We don't/can't spend the money required to do so. You think we will pony up the cash it will take to land Turner? I HIGHLY doubt it...

This morning the Brewers were second place in the NL Central. They had a better winning percentage than the Cardinals before today’s games. The second place teams from each division will fill the #4-#6 spots regardless of whether the third place teams in other divisions have better records. ok, should have looked at the time it was posted. Makes sense now. -

Wait, how can the brewers be #6 when they take the first and second place teams from each division, that would be Cubs and Cards, right? Must be based on the fact the Cardinals haven't played so many games so we get bumped to second place? Giants have a better record than us, they are not in? Marlins have a better record than us, not in? Mets have the exact same record as us, not in? -

Cain will not walk away from $30 million, virus or not... No possible chance he retires with all that money sitting on the table, plus the money from this year that he already gave up.

Yet when is the last timewe had a real 1B on this team? I don't think it is as easy as you think to get a 3B and/or 1B or we would have done it by now. Unless you count guys like Sogard and Smaok as guys that will help us win. We can sign guys like them all day every day...

This would work if the DH would stay in the NL for next year which I think it would. Cain CF, Marte LF, Garcia RF and Yelich at DH. The OF defense would improve with Marte in LF over Yelich though it wouldn't be by all that much. Marte hasn't played RF and I believe he doesn't have the arm to play RF so he is a CF or LF only which would be fine if you want to play Marte in CF when Cain needs a day off or two. I think an Ashby, Lutz and Taylor package should get this trade done. Maybe just Lutz and Ashby or Lutz and Taylor could also be enough. UGH, no way I trade that package for Marte. just no way. So what about Hiura then? He slots into our every day job at 2B? If anyone on this team should be the full time DH it's him. Ashby could be a future top of the rotation guy for us, and everyone is always thowing Lutz into these deals, which I don't understand why. Ashby and Lutz are guys I don't want to trade.

So we would then have Cain as an expensive back-up CF for the next 2 years at 15 million per year? I think we all knew that contract was going to be an issue after his first 2 seasons, true, but replacing him over a 1B and/or 3B seems to be not high on the priority list as long as his defense is still good.
