  1. Yeah, I don't know which news aggregator site this is from, but it is incorrect and misleading. It's from rotoworld.
  2. Why would we give up a ton in a trade for a position we already have covered next year? (you guys do remember Lorenzo Cain, right?)
  3. It says "is traded" which to me means the deal is in place...
  4. Definitely need to get a guy of that caliber. I am still holding out for Lux but Gore in this rotation would give us the best potential rotation over the next year or two that we have ever had. That would be assuming that the Burnes we just saw is the real deal... I'm a huge Burnes guy, but I think you are jumping the gun a little on our best rotation ever. Still questions on Burnes and Houser, and Gore is no lock as far as super star ace. I feel your excitement though!
  5. Bob Nightengale of USA Today reports that "there's a growing sentiment among executives" that Josh Hader is traded. Hader's velocity is down this season and he's coming off a rough outing on Saturday when he walked five batters. However, he still hasn't given up a hit in 2020 and is under team control through 2023. Obviously, it would take a big return in order to convince the Brewers to deal him. The Padres and Dodgers have reportedly touched base with the Brewers about Hader. SOURCE: Bob Nightengale on Twitter Aug 30, 2020, 1:05 PM ET
  6. What about people traveling into our country? How would we nip them in the bud? Flying into the country, take a test to board the plane. Driving into the country from North or South of the border, take a test before being allowed to cross. Entering the country illegally, no test, just enter the country and infect as many people as you come in contact with I guess... This would be the one that would stop us from nipping anything in the bud. Maybe not the best idiom as you're not going to get it to 0. If you did a mass test of the whole country like that it would gut the numbers huge in under 3 weeks. It's essentially what the NBA bubble did. You'd then be down to a manageable number to start from, like the rest of the civilized world did by actually listening to science. If you're trying to make some blame on this to mexicans, well lets say I think it's misguided. Not blaming the Mexicans, just one way to get into the country without being tested is all...
  7. Counsell will sit Sogard next game. His reward to HR hitters.(or is it punishment?) That rule doesn't apply to Sogard... Sogard just bought another 10 straight starts with that dinger, and possibly another 2 year extention.
  8. It's asinine, absolutely asinine. Not shocking, given the fact that he did the same thing to Pina not to long ago... I thought that maybe, just maybe I was kidding a little last night when I said that hitting those homers would give him a lot of bench time... I guess hitting 2 homers in one game is a bench-able offense in the mind of our manager...
  9. I had one this summer, it was a piece of cake. Even the prep wasn't as bad as everyone says. It wasn't a great deal of fun, but it surely wasn't a horrible experience.
  10. It would be nice if CC could settle on some kind of daily line-up. Why does it have to be so radically different from game to game? Let the players get used to their roles for crying out loud...
  11. I don't know if giving up a pretty meaningless solo shot with an 8-run lead is gonna make me lose a lot of faith in the guy. He's been shaky recently, not "big 3" material... That title was thrown on him too early imo.
  12. Gyorko just cemented his spot on the bench until Wednesday with his 2nd dinger tonight...
  13. I think we can end all conversations which includes Phelps as part of "the BIG 3." Someone send the memo to the booth.
  14. Definitely the turning point. Piling on two-out RBIs have made the difference tonight. Always nice to "pour it on" someone for a change...
  15. That home run should buy him some bench time the next few days...
  16. Believe me, I'm aware, I drafted that bum in one of my fantasy leagues and he has been 100% non existent. I had to pick up Jesus Aguilar off the ww to replace him, and he has been pretty damn good!
  17. Gyorko needs more playing time, it is just so obvious... NICE!
  18. What about people traveling into our country? How would we nip them in the bud? Flying into the country, take a test to board the plane. Driving into the country from North or South of the border, take a test before being allowed to cross. Entering the country illegally, no test, just enter the country and infect as many people as you come in contact with I guess... 19. So true, and since our society isn't functioning (on any level), we get no reward.
  20. I don't think the IGT was off the rails at all...I was curious as to why that tread got locked down so quickly. Is it just to stop the future comments from taking place? Every once in a while, it would be nice to be trusted to have a civil conversation. If that doesn't transpire, maybe lock it down, but that thread was pretty innocent as far as I can see.
  21. That is what I meant, pretending like this game didn't just get boycotted by the players seems to be an odd reaction. I get it, no matter what is said, someone will be offended, so tread lightly, but ignoring it just seems odd for a bunch of hard core Brewers fanatics.
  22. I'd just like to say that the fact that politics has crept its way into every aspect of our lives is disappointing... I use sports as an escape, not a constant reminder of the way today's world is. Can't watch the news, no matter which side you are on, it's all political. Can't listen to the radio, political. Can't watch sports, political. Can we just have one aspect of our daily lives that isn't effected by people's political beliefs, and shoving those beliefs down our throats? This is not a political statement as much as it is just a statement that joy seems to be a thing of the past. There is just no way to sit back, relax, and have yourself a peaceful moment in the times that we are living in. It sucks.
  23. ...in these politically correct times, we are not allowed to discuss the fact that the game was cancelled tonight? Seems strange that the team we all love has been sidelined, and no one is discussing it. Is it not allowed?
  24. He will be here all season, watch and see...
