  1. This line-up should produce 1-2 runs at most, which is why they will knock out a 10 spot today! I'd like to see Yelich hit 2 bombs and swipe 2 bags today to get that much closer to that 50/40 mark...
  2. I was really hoping he'd make it to 50 home runs...He still can, but he needs to get hot. A 50/30 season would be remarkable!
  3. Well considering we have 4 regulars injured I suppose it could be worse. It’ll just make getting to the playoffs all the more amazing. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
  4. I have no real opinion one way or another, but Miley would have been a HUGE get if we had signed him. HUGE!
  5. I wanted to take a look at this, and sorted by wrc+ and also by wOBA wRC+ : 2011 Ryan Braun 171 2019 Christian Yelich 170 2018 Christian Yelich 166 1987 Paul Molitor 165 1979 Sixto Lezcano 165 1982 Robin Yount 164 2009 Prince Fielder 161 2011 Prince Fielder 160 2012 Ryan Braun 159 1978 Larry Hisle 156 wOBA: -------- 2019 Christian Yelich .437 1987 Paul Molitor .433 1979 Sixto Lezcano .428 2011 Ryan Braun .426 2009 Prince Fielder .422 2018 Christian Yelich .422 2007 Prince Fielder .419 1982 Robin Yount .415 2012 Ryan Braun .413 2011 Prince Fielder .410 Ahhhhhhh, Sixto, my favorite player as a middle schooler...
  6. Guerra is such a buzzkill. Lead off walks never start big innings. EDIT: Oh, ok, Guerra's plan all along was to walk the first guy, then get the double play ball. Genius.
  7. At which point the screams of "left him in X batters too long again", start to rain down. Every. Time. Nope, you let him start the 6th, and if there is any trouble, a walk, a single, whatever, you take him out. Don't wait, don't stand around in the dugout looking confused, then all of a sudden bases are loaded. Be ready, first sign of trouble, take him out.
  8. I do enjoy the Raptor's pace though... get the ball, pitch the ball. How refreshing.
  9. This is where it becomes frustrating, NEVER allowing your guys to go 3 times through the order, no matter the situation, no matter what the starter looks like. It's actually pretty asinine. At least let him go until the first sign or trouble.
  10. Davies not pitching the 6th? C'mon Counsell, this is ridiculous. He is cruising, basically, and you want to get the bullpen involved when you could at least try and get one more inning from Davies. (76 pitches I think) Stupid.
  11. If Austin had to be plugged in the lineup, he should have been hitting 7th or 8th. I agree with this as well... But just look at our 5-8 tonight! lol
  12. 100% agree. If the average fan bases his total opinion on that little box, it is easy to understand why people get so fired up. That little box does not account for the entire pitch location.
  13. Really? Killed it? I think his best moves were the ones he didn't make.
  14. I've been pretty disappointed with CC all year. Not just his bullpen management, that isn't all his fault, but he takes some of the blame there, but just how he plugs in a line-up. You are right, this was the perfect time to get Superman a few at bats, but nope, let's play Austin, a guy with no possible future in Milwaukee. I just don't get it.
  15. This isn't a current thing with Cain, he's been doing it the past 2 seasons. Anytime he has to put out effort, he always comes up hobbled looking, like he is hurt. Is he looking for sympathy? Does he want everyone to think he is a tough guy, constantly playing through pain? It seems like a big act to me.
  16. Cain looks hurt again...lol What is it with this guy? Why does he always want to look like he is hurting?
  17. Why on earth do we have to be staring a bum like Tyler Austin at 1B? I just hate how this roster shakes out, and even more so, the way our manager uses it. Hopefully the Gods are watching, and Austin hits a dinger tonight based on my comment above.
  18. It doesn't have to makes sense, if there are words to be typed, those words ARE typed...

Speaking of local bands, I am in eager anticipation of something new from WHIPS. Love them!
  20. Things I will not miss about the 2019 Brewers season: That freaking SOL Beer commercial.
  21. Always disappointing to watch a Cubs/Brewers game at Miller Park, and can't tell who the home team is by crowd noise. Actually, Cubs fans seem to always outnumber Brewers fans on their home turf when it comes to fans cheering. sad.
  22. I admit that I was not the happiest with the trade. I didn't care about Brinson, just seemed like a big bust candidate to me at the time. Diaz and Harrison played in Appleton, I grew fond of them, and losing the two of them at the time really bothered me. Yamamoto was never a throw in type player in my eyes, he also played in Appleton, so I got to see him pitch several times. I thought he would probably top out as a #3, and hated to see him go as well. In retrospect, it was a more than great trade for us, no matter what happens with those 4 guys we traded away for Yelich. I don't see how anyone can possibly see otherwise... Yelich was an actual MVP, not a candidate, but an actual MVP and is putting up the same type of numbers for a second year in a row. We won the trade, simple as hat.
