  1. I so much wish they had stuck with the Braun at 1B experiment when our 1B situation went bad this year... If Braun played 75% of the games at 1B, and Grisham 75% of the games in LF since the break, that would be ideal imo.
  2. That's a tough call. Both are annoying as hell. I'd take drums all day over that freaking woooooing nonsense. That is just embarrassing.
  3. People bring drums to hockey games? I don't understand.
  4. I think too many here have given up on Burnes. I'd bet he comes back strong next season, his stuff is just too good.
  5. meh, he's no Jordan Lyles.
  6. I'm with you on this, I don't want to trade him, I want to see him with the Brewers for the next 6 years. Heck, it's getting to the point where I want to see him on the ML roster tomorrow. lol NICE!
  7. My guess is that the Reds are not done yet for next season. I bet they make several more deals either at this deadline, or during the offseason that propel them into contention for the Central next year... They might as well go all in since no one else seems to want it. When did Doug Melvin take over as GM of the Reds? When did Doug Melvin go all in?
  8. I think you might get your wish. That would be incredibly disappointing, the Brewers need SIGNIFICANT rotation help. Grisham would be the chip(one of them) to make that happen. Disappointing that we don't get the pitching we so desperately need, yes. But if we don't get TOR arms, and that is plural, I don't see us in the playoffs at all this season, and trading Grisham away and not making the playoffs will be a bitter bitter bitter pill to swallow.

  11. If this happens at every game, they are probably used to it.
  12. Brew Crew 92? Did he get banned/suspended?
  13. So odd that the Yankees and Astros are interested in every freaking top arm on the trade block... So frustrating that the haves are always in the mix for the big guns while the rest of us are picking up scraps like Jordan Lyles.
  14. Ethan Small will be pitching Friday night in Appleton... NICE!
  15. And we want to trade him? I hope against all hope that we keep this kid... He'll look nice in left field for the next 6 years.
  16. "These type of trades are what lead to the acquisitions of Burch Smith, Alex Wilson, Jake Petricka in the first place. Lack of homegrown arms with talent to fill up the last few roster spots" This comment from above says it all for me.
  17. Can someone explain why Wheeler is such a hot guy at the trade deadline? His numbers don't scream anything to me...Lots of K's, ok, what else? I realize that ERA isn't the only stat, but 4.71? Seriously? Andy Martino of SNY.tv hears from a rival executive that they "fully expect" the Astros to acquire Zack Wheeler from the Mets. Martino hears from other sources that the Braves, Brewers, Yankees, and Athletics could be among the clubs involved in talks. However, there's a lot of smoke with the Astros at the moment, suggesting that they could indeed be the favorites. The Mets have also discussed trading Noah Syndergaard, but the pricetag will be much higher than Wheeler since he carries another year of team control. Wheeler, an impending free agent, holds a 4.71 ERA and 137/34 K/BB ratio over 124 1/3 innings. Source: Andy Martino on Twitter Jul 30, 2019, 9:47 AM ET
  18. Yeah, I want no part of Grisham leaving unless the return is phenomenal! I mean really GREAT! Grisham is more than likely a future stud in our outfield, better get something really good for him as I don't see anyone else knocking on that door...
  19. Pirates acquired RHP Cody Ponce from the Brewers for RHP Jordan Lyles. Ponce has registered a decent 3.29 ERA and 44/12 K/BB ratio in 38 1/3 innings of relief this season at the Double-A level. The 25-year-old right-hander was selected 55th overall in the 2015 MLB Draft. He could factor into the bullpen mix in Pittsburgh at some point in 2020. Jul 29, 2019, 3:07 PM ET Don't like this move, not one bit.
  20. So, now that we have the Central wrapped up, what's our next move? Are there any washed up horrible shortstops out there that we can replace our horrible shortstop with? Are there anymore crappy starters or relievers out there that are not better than anything we already have to push us along to the playoffs? The Lyles move is just stupid imo.
  21. That will do it. Time to do something productive on this Sunday afternoon. 2 of 3 was probably more than we could have hoped for I guess...So there is that.
  22. I find it completely disgusting at how loud the crowd cheers for the Cubs in our own damn stadium.
  23. That hurts. Nice meatball there Mr. Davies. *sigh*
