  1. I figured we'd get two productive seasons, and the last 3 would be sliding off... I didn't however think that he would be as good as he was last year, or as bad as he has been this year. If this continues, we have another giant weight on our backs that a team like ours can't afford.
  2. Nice! Glad I have that to look forward to yet. On season 6 of GoT and the hits just keep coming! lol I so missed the boat on this show all these years...
  3. Avoid the tag on the back side. Taking the "clear path" to the back side was an easy out. Go the opposite way Lucroy would instinctually go and you have a chance at being safe. and an even better chance of a collision. still seems stupid to me, just asking for trouble and injury one way or another.
  4. Blocking a poster just ruins the flow of threads though. Especially posters who post frequently, REALLY frequently. Some things come up out of context, and you are left wondering what the heck is going on...
  5. It makes no logical sense why he would take the inside path. What was he possibly thinking?
  6. I'd go a step further and say this forum is slowly dying due to the one or two posters making those posts... I have been checking in a lot less because of the constant annoyance associated with those posters.

  8. Did the benches clear? Were Angels players and coaches upset immediately following the incident?
  9. Yeah, this is obvious to me... DIRTY as HELL!
  10. I hope this isn't getting traction. I'm no fan of this guy, or what it will end up costing to get him...Wonder if there is a chance that Will Smith will come along with him if a deal does get done? According to Ken Rosenthal of The Athletic, the Astros, Twins, Braves, and Brewers are among the teams showing interest in Giants starter Madison Bumgarner. Bumgarner made an early exit from his final start of the first half after getting hit on the left elbow by a line drive, but X-rays came back negative and he is lined up to pitch Saturday in Milwaukee. The 29-year-old impending free agent has registered a 4.03 ERA, 1.20 WHIP, and 115/24 K/BB ratio in 111 2/3 innings (19 starts) this season. The Astros, Braves, and Brewers are on his no-trade list -- the Twins are not -- but that shouldn't have much of an impact on the Giants' ability to conduct trade negotiations. Rosenthal notes that Bumgarner compiled the list "strategically" based on "the teams he figured might want him most." Source: The Athletic Jul 8, 2019, 11:15 AM ET
  11. The guy who should be on the hot seat is the guy who let DJ go. They should have paid the man, even if that meant it was too much, obviously, too much was not TOO MUCH!
  12. Just saw Thames in RF and Yelich on the bench... Thames in the OF is a nightmare. Whatever happened to every game matters? Like someone said yesterday, at least we got the salvage game out of the way.
  13. Hopefully, Dubon does something to prove the optimists right on this page. I myself am skeptical. If he holds his own, I can see Saladino being sent packing after the break once Arcia is good to go, keeping Dubon on the roster...
  14. There are about 2 posters that make this a thing every single night, so I don't think you can blame the group as much as a couple individuals...
  15. I don't like Cain at 4, I'd put Thames at 4, Hiura at 5, and Cain at 6. If I were able to start from scratch, I'd go: Gamel Yelich Grandal Moose Hiura Thames Cain Arcia Houser
  16. Our daily line-ups are a complete and total mystery until they are posted. No continuity at all, almost like CC plugs in Yelich at #2, decides where he wants the pitcher to hit, then draws from a hat for the rest of the spots.
  17. Yamamoto just keeps rolling along... Jordan Yamamoto was outstanding in a no-decision against the Braves on Friday, striking out seven over six shutout innings. The right-hander scattered just two hits and three walks on the night. The 23-year-old has been phenomenal through his first five starts with the Marlins, registering a 1.86 ERA, 0.93 WHIP and 30/15 K/BB ratio across 29 innings. Jul 6, 2019, 12:59 AM ET
  18. I like Rock, and am so so on BA. If BA left, I'd be fine, wouldn't pay a lot of attention, because as some have noted, he is gone a lot, and we seem to be his back up plan to anything else he can get his hands on. I like LePay filling in for BA but got tired of his "break even pitch" comments.
  19. Brewers signed LHP Drew Smyly to a minor league contract. The left-hander posted a miserable 8.42 ERA, 1.91 WHIP, and 52/34 K/BB ratio through 51 1/3 innings with the Rangers, but there's still talent here. It's a nice low-risk signing for the Brewers. 20. The biggest issue is that BC92 doesn't ever state his opinions as opinions. It is rammed down our throats on an hourly basis as fact, and that is what often causes issues with other posters. When you state obvious wishes, pipedreams, and opinions as facts, it rubs those of us who know they are not factual, the wrong freaking way.
  21. I think that Gomez might have something to say about that title. Both were horrible on the bases, that can't be denied.
  22. mixed feelings on this... I'd rather he didn't participate to be honest.
