  1. Gosh I wish Braun would move to 1B... This looks even better: Braun 1B Yelich LF Cain CF Santana/Phillips RF
  2. Deal keeps getting better! Be honest, without looking it up, do you even know who our 3rd round pick was last year? So what if he doesn't? C'mon man...
  3. or Braun finally moves to 1B, they keep Santana in RF, and Thames is gone. That would be my preference.
  4. Santana in CF? Oh boy, no way, no how, not even a consideration. Not now it isn't. Never was.
  5. I'd like to see Broxton go for some prospects. Braun in left, Yelich in center, Santana in right. Or Santana in center and Yelich in right. Phillips as 4th OF. Santana in CF? Oh boy, no way, no how, not even a consideration.
  6. He is probably conferring with RRR as we speak...
  7. You sound like you're on the same roller coaster I'm on. Initial reaction hate it. Calmed down a bit now, and by tomorrow who knows I'll probably love it. Yeah, I did hate it initially, and still do, but what's done is done, and it has to be accepted, we have no choice. Hopefully Yelich makes me forget right off the bat in April, and all will be well. I'll keep a close eye on the guys we lost though, just to see if I was right...
  8. I just really thought Brinson would be a center piece in a trade for pitching, not another outfielder...
  9. Ok, I admit, I get attached to the guys that come through Appleton. Harrison spent a long time here, Diaz was so awesome here, it is impossible not to feel a bit jilted when he goes. I have no connection to Brinson, but as often as he is hurt, I'd rather he be someone else's problem. Yamamoto was also a fun guy to watch, and was hoping he'd stick too. In the end, I'll get over it, and to be honest, I think the real loss is going to be Diaz, so it will be interesting 3 years from now to see where these 4 ended up. I wouldn't be surprised to see Yamamoto as a solid #3, Harrison and Brinson sharing 2/3 of the outfield, and Diaz being a rookie of the year type of player. They could all also tank, but again, highly doubt it. Admitting I get attached to these guys is the first step in acceptance when they go. lol
  10. Nice assessment - I agree. Seems fair Plus Diaz and Hiura can both only really play second. One of them had to go. How do we even know Hiura can play 2B? Diaz stings.
  11. So glad I'm not the only one who feels this way. We just gave away 2/3 of our OF and a possible all star 2B. Yes, not a given, but that's a lot of talent leaving us. Farm just took a major hit, hopefully Stearns has a plan to re-stock in a couple more deals. Just don't like it.
  12. Ok, that's it for me, I'm retreating to the corner to lick my wounds. DAMN DAMN DAMN DAMN DAMN DAMN! They have raided our cupboards, wonder which pitcher the stole from us? EDIT: Yamamoto
  13. Brinson, Diaz and who else, that is the question. Hiura better be the real deal, as we just traded our true future 2B.
  14. That can't be it, there will be more... oh man.
  15. yup, agreed, and add Diaz, Harrison to that list. My guess is all 3 of them are gone.
  16. premature celebration... we have no idea what it cost us, so I can't be too happy until I hear how much this could be setting us back. *nervous*
  17. So this makes you happy, even though you have no clue what we had to give up to get him? Oh boy, this is going to be an interesting night...
  18. I can't celebrate until I see who we gave up. I am worried, really worried.
  19. Assuming he isn't dealt, I imagine Dubon eventually will replace Perez as the super utility guy, perhaps by the end of 2018. A super utility guy who can't hit? No thanks.
  20. How do you not think Dubon is a true SS prospect? A little lost on that one. I can understand saying that he might not be ready this season but to just discard him, yeesh. I don't see Dubon as good enough to plug in at SS everyday. Not all that far off from calling Kyle Wren a true outfield prospect. I guess they are both prospects but I don't think we have everyday players in either of them. Agreed. People get hung up on his defensive ability, but I don't see his bat EVER playing in MLB. If we had the chance to trade him because another team thought highly of him, I'd move him in a heartbeat.
  21. Might be dangerous to sign him, every team will know as soon as we sign him, we will be more than willing to deal one or more of our outfielders, same goes with Yelich.
  22. ...then later, pitched a fit when she found out how much Walberg made for the same thing...
